NikeCourt Zoom Vapor 12

Short laces would be a plus for me, 90% of the tennis shoes I've bought always had laces stupidly long.
Haha I'm not used to short laces, but I was able to get the double knot in, so I suppose it's not an issue. I'm not complaining about it, but I'll wait to see how it ends up working out. Just an adjustment, and that's not necessarily a good or a bad thing.

Side note- is anyone else finding the laces to be a bit short as well, especially if you like a runner's knot? Seem like great shoes otherwise
I'm definitely feeling the laces are too short!
I would like to use a runner's knot on these but can't with the stock laces. Might have to get some longer ones somewhere else. . .

Any suggestions on where I can get yellow-ish laces for these besides Amazon? Does Nike sell laces?

10.5 fits ok but 11 would probably be usable too, similar sizing to the old 9.5s. Weather has been trash lately so haven't had a chance to try them yet. The heel doesn't feel particularly locked down even just walking around so I'm a bit worried heel slippage could be an issue. The laces aren't super long but I definitely wouldn't call them short, pretty much the right length for me.

I definitely have heel slippage in mine. I use the last eyelet and even tried a runner's knot, but the laces were too hard to get right with the runner's knot in these. I need to find some longer laces for mine.

Strange, TW unlisted the hard court Vapor 12 in Racer Blue but the claycourt version is up. I had the link up on it so I know it was on sale.

@TW Staff will the HC Vapor 12 Racer Blue be sold here again? It is on sale other websites.

I'll post here as I think it'll get more visibility..

Anyone know if there will be more Hypersmash clay versions or was it one and done?

Massive heel slippage for me when the size isn't right, I went down significantly on my usual tennis shoe size and that solved it

Yeah unfortunately my first hit with these was not good, massive heel slippage. I think if I had gotten size 11 it would have been literally unplayable. I've now changed to the last eyelet and thinner socks and it's probably good enough, it does make the lace very short now though. Kinda strange to me that they had this glaring issue for a lot of people, I never experienced this with the 11, 9.5 or 9.

Hot Lava is like Volt for Nike. Never can leave it alone lol First time for two straight years we get Hot Lava for the USO but this is the cleaner colorway. The one from last year was bad given it was grey/silver based instead of white
It is by far the laziest use of Hot Lava yet.

You can’t really do much with it. It’s either spatter it there or here, no in between

Eh, there are ways.

Make the fit frame piece black to mimic the ATC2’s black stripe, have the midsoles solid pink, have the upper have the lava print across the whole side, grey lace eye plastic part, grey outsole, grey interior lining.

At minimum have the lava splatter on the midsole be against a black background and not white. There’s like 3 inches of splatter at the most in these, it’s barely there.

Or a do a reverse black with lava like the 2020 ATC2.

Got my pair of Zoom Vapor 12s today and unfortunately the right shoe is too narrow for my foot. I tried a pair on before but maybe should've have kept them on for a little longer to make sure the fit was good. I was so looking forward to the shoe feeling like the original Vapor Pro 1's but alas this shoe is not going to work for me. And yes I also feel less lockdown in the heel. It's too bad. I will go with plan B and try the Vapor Pro 3s to replace my current Vapor Pro 2's. My current rotation is Vapor Pro 2's, a pair of Vapor Pro 1's, and when I am wearing red I have a nice pair of Vapor X Knit that I found. I also mow the lawn in my old Vapor X's lol.

Update after 3 months of use: it took a month for them to adjust to the shape of the foot, until then they were very uncomfortable. They never gave the feeling of locking the foot. After 2 months of use (on average 2 times a week) you can already see major signs of wear and tear and the material is cracking. Conclusion: these sneakers are definitely not worth the €160 I paid for them. Honestly, I don't think they're even worth €100 and I certainly won't buy a new pair when these are completely torn, and I don't think they'll last another 2 months.

Interesting for me the vapor pro one was way too narrow to wear while being too long and I couldn’t size down because then it would be even more narrow and completely crushed my foot. Vapor pro 12 is significantly wider and I can wear them with no problem like vapor X, 9, 9.5. Could you have had a defective pair if it was too tight on one foot or do you know that you have 1 foot that’s bigger and every shoe is tighter on that same foot?

Whats the consensus on how these shoes play/comfort? How does it compare to solution speed 3? I really like these pink ones but my asics are just so so good.

I really like my V12’s ans they fit me really good. Recently played in my old Vapor X on clay and I find the V12 way more comfortable than X.
Though it’s essentially just personal preferences..

I wonder when or if these will come out. Sabalenka Round 1 was a completely different custom Vapor that was white and pink with other added elements.

But who knows maybe her night match one will look like this? But certainly this color did not come out at the US open. Alcaraz had custom maroon V12 with pink Nike signs and I’m assuming he will use those for daytime as well, but just the pink tank instead of the maroon tank.
