NikeCourt Zoom Vapor 12

I wonder when or if these will come out. Sabalenka Round 1 was a completely different custom Vapor that was white and pink with other added elements.

But who knows maybe her night match one will look like this? But certainly this color did not come out at the US open. Alcaraz had custom maroon V12 with pink Nike signs and I’m assuming he will use those for daytime as well, but just the pink tank instead of the maroon tank.
ATP Finals?

If you want to move well, buy ASICS; if you want to move almost as well, and look cool doing it - buy Nike. :sneaky::p
Depends on the model but I found the Gel res to be one the slowest and least nimble shoes I've every played in, and that was the previous model that everyone likes, now they got the new ones everyone hates. Vapor 12s are among the best, maybe best overall, to move well in.

Are the purple ones Alcaraz was wearing going to be available?

Guessing they won’t since RG wasn’t… honestly I don’t understand this marketing strategy; at least release them on a limited stock and create some hype around them (?) they would sell out instantly and probably go to grey market.. then his next shoe would be a hype as well! Or maybe they’re just waiting until his logo is set?

Well in general I don’t get Nike strategy. You can’t buy anything Osaka is wearing at the USO, for Carlos you can’t buy shoes or bag or burgundy top… well what they pay them for? Just for brand recognition? :D

I guess so! They’re big names or at least becoming so even outside of tennis.. Nike should really listen to us, the tennis fans.
1. Release Carlos purple shoe
2. Sign Fed again… ;)

Has anyone ordered the women's model of these sneakers? Is there a difference in the width of the sneakers if they are the same length?
I did for the GP Challenge 1, and the women’s 10.5 was the same width and length as my men’s 9. What I’m unsure of though is if Nike uses the same foam density for men and women, since men are usually heavier that women.

My guy, have you seen nike Australia site the past 6 months? Absolute garbage. All we can do is hope for the best.

The AO colourway is a must cop though so lucky we will be getting that.
Tell me about it, just painful to see literally every other market get something besides us

i have the gel resolution 9 clay in 43.5 ( and love the fit) and i bought the hardcourt vapor 12 in 43.5 and 44 and i really cant decide. the 43.5 feels a tad tight while the 44 feels a tad loose. any tips which i should keep ?

I can guarantee that 44 won’t shrink.. if you really want to keep them go for 43.5 and the will expand a little.

Can anyone explain why Nike is re releasing the Cage 4 from 2020? Old stock found at warehouse?
If rerelease - why on earth not re release Cage 3 that people actually want? Never heard anyone using or wanting Cage 4…

one of the worst nike rafa shoes ever. even he wore it just a few times.

Ok, I haven't been following along on this thread, shame on me. But, the obnoxiously orange colorway has my attention, but I need to know about fit before I buy. Can someone tell me how the fit on the V12 compares to the V11? The V11 is a practically perfect fit for my foot. I'm a little worried that the TW description says "snug medium" for width.

I haven't played with Vapors since I wanna say 2017-2018 because they just got so crazy pricey.

I've been using Solution Speeds since I want to say 2018 now. I tried the Gel Res but I felt so slow in them, went back to Speeds and felt great again.

Are the Vapors worth giving another try?

I was loyal to the Vapors because of Rog. But the ON Rog shoes haven't been well received. Still willing to give it a try though.

Another question, was looking at the specs.

Why is the Oreo Black-White listed as 14.6 ounces, and the Blue-Orange hypersmash listed at 13.8 ounces?

That's a big discrepancy. Are they not the same shoe but different colorway?

Hypersmash does not have all of the TPU along the medial side and onto the toebox.
TPU is heavy, so those measurements are likely accurate.
Hypersmash has a leather/mesh-fabric upper and not much drag or toe protection.
I have the clay version and they're great.
Regular Vapor 12, not as much

I haven't tried any of the Vapor 12 yet as I have plenty of Vapor 11s left. But does the Hypermash has significantly lower durability in such case with less TPU? I think that's a decent trade off though. Seems more not-so-favourable reviews of Vapor 12 start to surface after the honeymoon period.

I use the hypersmash on clay, so a little less hard on the shoes than hard court, but Id say quite a bit less durable than the Vapor 12.

However, I know they make shoe goo and probably could find some kind of shoe protection tape, racquet head tape might even work.

For me, it would be an easy trade off, as long as I got the hypersmash on clearance. At full price, there are equally good and more durable shoes. The Hypersmash feels more like the original Vapor Pro, very light upper, fast feeling, low to the ground. For clay, I love them.

It’s laughable that yet again Nike doesn’t appear to have bothered with a clay court option in Australia; I probably would have bought this colour for nostalgia’s sake - last three shoe purchases have been ON & Yonex - but no clay no way.
Why would I bother seeking out a car park surface to play on when the vast majority of the courts in Melbourne are far more forgiving, but generally require shoes with some grip?
Clearly Nike no longer cares about selling tennis shoes in Oz.

That’s a bummer man - they do have two color ways in Clay on TW USA, and probably more at TWE - can you order from any of those sites, or Nike directly?

Can order from TWE & pay €70 shipping.
This model doesn’t appear to have any clay soled variant.
Maybe the AO release will have some options, but not holding my breath; going to be mainstreaming ON clay RP2s & Fires now when I’m back on the court in any case.
It’s sad, I remember being so excited when Nike started coaching sponsorships in Melbourne back in the early’90s; sad that they’ve pretty much pulled the pin even with regards to decent retail range here at present.
