Out of curiosity I see alot of ppl posting that they're returning shoes, places let you return worn shoes in the US or is this a TW policy?
 
It's not a good calling card....we'll have to see if Kyrgios (among the "best known" let's say so) will stay with Vapor 11 and Khachanov with pro 2

I noticed there is an odd flap for the shoelaces on the inside part of the shoe near top. The lace is held together by a little piece of fabric there. I feel like these could snap off over time.
 
I have had the new Vapor Pro 2's for a couple of weeks and for me they are a totally different shoe than the Vapor Pros. They sit up higher, a little bulkier but have more cushion and as others have noted less heel lockdown. They are not terrible but I would still rank them below the Vapor Pros and the X. I have been wearing Vapors for a long time and can't believe they want $160-$170 for the re-issued 9.5's. My favorite colorway was the last X before Federer switched to Uniqlo clothing.

I am a diehard Vapor Pro (first version) fan and I really wanted to NOT like the new Vapor Pro 2's, but they are not that bad. They play differently than the previous version. As most have already said, they are heavier and you're NOT low to the ground like the original Vapor Pro. You definitely sit up higher, but their still stable. I've used mine several times in practice matches and didn't notice them at all, which is a good indicator for me when I can just focus on the tennis instead of the gear. I still have several pairs of the previous version new in box and will still use them, but I wouldn't say the new ones are the best tennis shoe I've ever played in, but I wouldn't discourage anyone from trying them.
 
The Vapor Pro 2 did not work for me. I was a big fan of the prior Vapor Pros and versions 9.5 and lower. I found the fit and durability on point with these prior versions of the Vapor. The Pro 2 fit a bit bigger than the original Vapor Pro but not so much that I could go down a size due to length. I have a very narrow foot so heel slippage is common for me in most non Vapor shoes. Sadly, the Pro 2 loosened up after just a couple outings and that's when I noticed the heel slippage. Since then I've fallen on the court twice in the shoes. The heel slippage obviously impaired my mobility in addition to the added weight of this version. They do feel a little clunky and higher off the ground than prior versions. The durability is also an issue with the Pro 2. I noticed the toe area was losing tread after just one week. I'm a 4.0 recreational player in my mid 40s. I play doubles 3-5 times a week so I don't normally wear through the toe like that until after a few months of use. I was shocked to see that sort of wear so early on. I've given up and am back to Asics Speed FF2s. These have worked for me in the past but I never liked them as much as the prior Vapors...looks wise. I'll stick to Ascis for now but I'm bummed the Pro 2s didn't work. These are such good looking shoes aside from all the issues. I hope Nike will get it right next time and make them lighter and narrow again.
 
@TagUrIt do these run similar in size/fit to the Vapor Pro?
I found the Vapor Pro to feel bigger than my Vapor X, to the point of wanting a half size smaller, so just curious if that is still the case?
 
These didn't make it onto the court even at the 65 dollar price mark. Comfort was improved underfoot but the upper felt pretty bad. They should have just added some padding to the forefoot and released the same shoe as previous version.
 
Yes, tried them on and not interested. Shoe felt cheap and clunky, like comfortable casual shoe. Didn't have the fit and feel, nor the support of high end shoes. Weight definitely increased and still on a narrow end in the forefoot. A traditional Nike shoe in many ways - that is, Nike shoes always felt like shoes of other brands that are $50 cheaper.
 
I had bought these after my old Vapor Pros wore out and while initial step in feel was more comfortable I had some issues with keeping them tight and then what felt like some rubbing on the insides of my feet. I felt like I'd end up with blisters. As some other reviews noted these seemed harder to keep tight and secure. I'd find that I would need to stop and tie them 2-3 times before my feet settled in and I felt like they were good to go. I got lucky and my local tennis store took them back and thankfully had some old stock of the Vapor Pro in my size. I may need to try and grab 1-2 more pairs to get me through the next 12-18 months and hope that Nike has something better in the near future. A little disappointed these didn't work out.

Sounds like you need the wide version coming out next year
 
Liked the color scheme for the grid iron green and TW put them on sale so I just got a pair in.
Tried them on and they fit easily, but much more cushioning than the Vapor Pro that had a stiff and fitting fit. This are more cushiony.
The heel is very noticeable--high and behind more. Do we know is there some type of stability advantage to having more heel behind us???

Out of the box the styling actually reminds me a lot of the Nike Breathe Free 2 of yesteryear, but much more spongy then a Vapor.

When I put my Vapor Pro next to the Vapor Pro 2, the 2 seems longer and just made almost all out of foam.
It seems like a big leap with a lot of changes from the Vapor Pro to the Vapor Pro2.

Oddly, I didn't like the Vapor Pro the first time on court, but then fell in love with the fit and the way the hugged the ground.
I fear this will be a different experience. But will give it a a try.

Been out of the game for a few years as my stringing business took off...

Luckily I'm gonna get back into it so just ordered a pair of these.

My last shoe was the Vapor Pro V1 so not that long out of it.

Decided to order the usual UK10 and will double sock like I did with the OG's.
 
This shoe is pretty good. I had low expectations for these but they surprised me.
They are quite different from the Vapor Pro 1 but still decently low to the ground yet comfy. No heel slippage yet.
Only gripe I have is they're heavier and my knee ligaments and muscles need to adjust to it for longer sessions.
I would keep getting the vapor pro 1 but even on auction sites they're getting scarce in my size :(
 
Anyone of you experienced the same problem?
I bought them 10 weeks ago and i am playing once a week 1 to 2 hours. The fabric starts to tear on both shoes.
