You "forgot" Gasquet...

NO excuses! There is a 12 year age difference between them!

Their gap is 8 years not 12(1981-1989) and given the fact that Fed is still playing top tennis and reaching number 1, his age shouldnt be used against others .. it is just not fair. Age have nothing to do with the fact that Nishikori lost years because of injuries.

Healthy Nishikori is a top 8 player

"Healthy Nishikori" is a misnomer. It doesn't exist.

The point is a seemingly healthy Nishikori at 24 wasn't able to get through his "tough" draw to win the USO 2014. Federer, at 36 was able to get through his tough draw at AO 2017 and win it. Nishikori just doesn't have that champion's mentality or the game to win the biggest titles. You can sugarcoat it and talk about injuries all day long, it doesn't matter.

Underrated?

He probably makes more money off the court than any other player apart from Federer...

He's probably overrated just because of that one thing.

Great olayer to watch when healthy and in form, effortless ball striking.

Not sure where to put this but has anyone noticed that Nishikori (and Nadal) don't seem to have any leg or arm hair?

When youre supposedly the best player of your generation (89-92) and havent won a single Masters or Slam, how can you possibly be underrated??
