Nishikori not looking good

Wow dude got bageled and breadsticked, terrible performance by Nishikori (didn't watch the game, just followed the score) did he look injured or was it a massive choke?

Nothing new here...just emulating his usual "mental midget" mindset...to me it didn't occur like he physically struggled, at least not until official statement from him and his team is released stating otherwise...

Nope, he just played basically as well as he played against Fed

Only this time he had to face an opponent actually playing to his ranking

The guy goes hot and cold. One year he lost convincingly to Nole in the RR match, the lack of effort was obvious and it was a disgraceful performance. Then, he pushed a well playing Federer in three sets in probably best match of that WTF only two days later, eventually exhausting him and definitely decreased his chances for the final.
That's our Nishi.

Currently getting schooled by Anderson.
Not moving well.
Can't make a first serve.
Lots of UEs.
Loses the first set 6-0 and down 4-0 in the 2nd.

TBH he wasn't so good vs Federer but Federer was worse, Anderson is in peak form.
it is that NEW STring of his. he just isn't used to the new string he has in there and he has NO control yet

Mentally and physically tired.
Didn't look hurt as far as I know
Mentally tired? This week is being played the World Chess Championship and chess players are playing games of over 7 hours with no day of break. Nishikori is definetely not "mentally tired" after just 2 hours of play against Federer.

Anderson is just much better than Nishikori on indoor hard courts, it's so simple as that. Nishikori has no serve and it's relatively easy to break him. On the other hand, Anderson is an excellent server, optimal for fast conditions.

Didn’t Goffin get spanked by Grigor in the group stages last year only to get to the final and take the same opponent to 3 sets?

He's completely awful. A prime example of the pitiful state of the men's game at the moment.

This result shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Anderson is a tall player with a big serve and forehand combination in great form playing on a surface that suits him perfectly.

Nishikori beat Federer but if anyone actually watched that match they will recall that he played quite poorly even though he won.

Agree

Absolutely.
Fedr totally sucked in that match and that's wh nishi won
But a big server exposed him

You don't have to play chess to get mentally tired. Tennis can make you mentally tired especially when fatigue is setting in.
Hell even watching hours of movies can make you mentally exhausted
