It's even crazier than that. Not only have Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray been No. 1 for over 15 years, but they have also held the top two rankings since Nadal joined in on August 1st, 2005. That's 744 weeks. Medvedev cannot hit number two until the Australian Open, so that's over 750 with these guys at the top. The longest streak since the rankings were first held was when Connors, Borg, McEnroe and Lendl held the number one spot between July 29, 1974 and September 12, 1988, when Wilander took the top spot. That's 737 weeks. That means that the Big 4 have held the top two spots longer than any other group of 4 has held just the top spot. That's pretty insane.

I'm always a bit surprised that Wawrinka never even made it as far as #2. Is there any other example of a 3 times Slam winning player never being ranked as high as #2?
