No love for Solinco Tour Bite Diamond Rough?

I think i've never seen any talk about this string here... neither I see it mentionned in all the string posts and thread...

Why is it?

Is it a bad one from Solinco? looks even more underrated than Solinco Outlast or Revolution

Any opinion on it? worth trying?

One of my hitting partners is a top 4.5 player in Texas. He plays it in 16g with his Angell 95 16x19.

I've hit with his racket and like the string a lot, so I agree with you, it should be put in the rotation to see if it's the one for you. Seems to be lower powered (for me this is good) and produces good spin from a combo of the texture and snap back. Plus it feels comfortable.

Tourbite DR is my favorite string for the clay court season. It delivers excellent spin, comfort on tensions up to 23kg and I still have enough touch for dropshots and volleys. Power is plenty but not overpowered, I am able to swing out with low powered control rackets.

The thing is at 16L and 17g could feel extremely soft (Compared to regular TB or even the TBS) I can see a lot of use but for some of the medium/high stiffness racquets to make it more predictable and comfy ince the tension maintenance is another topic to be discussed

If I'm a Tour Bite user (I am), what should I be expecting from TBDR? More spin, power, comfort, or feel than plain TB?

This is what I read somewhere : The dimples make it thinner/weaker than the rated gauge - so you probably need to go 1-2 gauges up depending on your level to get equivalent stiffness and not be affected too much by the tension loss due to the reduced effective diameter. Apparently still has better tension maintenance than Alu Power Rough. But who knows, you will have to try yourself to know for sure.
