I think it would have been great if he retired last year after winning Cinncinnatti (sp?) I believe it was.fantom said:This is disappointing, but not unexpected.
Hopefully he's trying to get healthy for one last run during the summer hardcourt season. He put together a pretty good run last summer after faltering during the clay/grass season (which he only played 3 matches...all losses).
I'm pulling for you Andre!!!
you gotta admit tennis is really fun. and fun is very fun. and nobody hates having fun.Pushmaster said:If Agassi needs cortisone injections to go on playing, I'd say he's better off retiring. He has nothing else to prove, and certainly doesn't need the money. He'll go down as one of the all-time greats, but now he should be home enjoying his wife and kids. What does he think he's going to do, hobble along a few more years and break Sampras' record 14 GS's or something?!
But searing back pain isn't fun. And nobody likes searing back pain. (Well, there are probably a few masochists out there who do . . . .)nViATi said:you gotta admit tennis is really fun. and fun is very fun. and nobody hates having fun.
