"Nobody beats Novak Djokovic 7 times in a row"

Novak is not winning against Sinner alcaraz anywhere.
This is no surprise that he lost and will keep loosing to both Sinner and alcaraz.
But rest of the tour he can still fight.

He's a old man past his prime against somebody at their prime. Obviously the one at their prime would win. People like to bring up Fedovic matches when they were both in age 30's but keep glorifying wins against Novak when the player is in their prime while the former is in decline. Just accept the fact Federer couldn't beat Djokovic in the goat race and you'll sleep better.

Honestly this shouldve happened years ago to Djokovic, it's really no surprise. Djokovic isn't beating Sinner and probably Alcaraz ever again unless they are clearly below their best for whatever reason.

Sinner is the Djokovic conqueror. Novak used to be the biggest question to solve in tennis, but Sinner is "The Answer"

Well, Jannik Sinner now has.

With his victory over Djokovic at the Six Kings Slam 2025, Sinner has now defeated Djokovic in an astonishing 7-consecutive matches:

2025 SKS
2025 Wimbledon
2025 Roland Garros
2024 Shanghai
2024 SKS
2024 Australian Open
2023 Davis Cup Finals

The only other player to defeat Djokovic 5 or more times in a row is Rafael Nadal.
Sinner’s age advantage of 14 years

Unless Sinner is having an off day and somehow Djo has the easiest rounds early to meet him in the later rounds, it will only get more lopsided. Sinner has no baggage or worry playing Djo.

as much as i'd love to see the streak be extended... you've got to be joking if you take into account that obscene exo in the H2H!
(they all should be ashamed of participating in this thing) :X3:
Agree. I don't want any more blood money entering tennis than we have already. There is already enough conflicts of interest and corruption in tennis as it is without more sickening blood money coming in.

I don’t understand why people in this forum are so enthusiastic to see sinner beating djokovic. Djokovic dominated all players in his generation on all surfaces except Nadal on clay. Some also say alcaraz is better than Nadal which is hilarious. In Sports if someone is 14-15 years younger they are of a different generation and will have a huge advantage.

This is one of OP’s more successful bait threads. Hook, line, and sinker I’m afraid to say.

(That said, no one should be participating in this sham event.)

And yet amazingly, Djokovic, pesky champion that he is, still holds a slam and h2h and weeks no.1 edge over Federer and Nadal and is the clear best player of the era he shared with them. Worse yet, even if Sinner accumulates a 500 match win streak against him, that will NEVER change. EVER.

Life is so unfair.

Two of those were exhibitions. With that logic I guess we can say Djokovic beat Nadal 8 times in a row from 2015-2016 if we include that Thailand exhibition. Better to lose 7 times a row as an old man to a 24 year old than to get beaten 7 times in a row twice by your main rival who's only 11 months younger.
and nole never tested positive under eather of his streaks vs rafa. and the first one was not only in oficiell matches but all in big finals on all 3 surfaces!

Not clear at all if you look deeper than "Djokovic has 24 majors".

maybe. but 2011-AO12 run was in the middle of rafas best period 2010-2013!! 7 big finals on all 3 surfaces! 2011 would probable be rafas best and greatest season if not for nole!
Nadal then beat Djokovic in 6 of their next 7 matches in 2012-2013, and also beat Djokovic in 4 straight matches in majors in 2012-2014. I'd say that was an emphatic response after 2011.

True. He also has:
-Most Weeks no. 1
-Most year end #1
-Most career slams
-H2h wins against both rivals

Lacking:
-Pretty backhand
-Footprint on a RG court
-Self sustained tournament nobody cares about
-Most popularity

It's a tough call, but I'm going to lean towards Novak.

Nadal has 900+ consecutive weeks in the top 10, winning a major in 15 calendar years overall and 10 calendar years in a row, and his big match record against his biggest rivals (10-4 against Federer, 11-7 against Djokovic). Nadal dominated his own domain more than his rivals dominated theirs as well. Oh yeah, and Nadal won 22 majors despite missing around 15 major tournaments through injury compared to Djokovic's 1.

Exhos don't count so its 5-0 irl.
But yeah, its a nature course of progression to see a 36-38 yo veteran ATG losing to a 22-24 yo young ATG.
I'd fully expect even Alcaraz to dominate his matchup with Djokovic going forward, despite his struggles against him in earlier years, albeit not so surely yet on indoor HCs.

Being number 1>>>>>being somewhere in the top 10
Winning the most majors and having the most dominant seasons>>>>One major per year over 10
"Big matches" is a concept created to pad h2hs. He won the actual h2h against both.

Djokovic dominated the entire field more than Nadal ever did, and he beat Nadal at his best major twice - 2015 can be written off as due to serious issues on Nadal's end, but there's no excuse for 2021. Nadal has beat Djokovic at the Australian Open 0 times. Nadal missing majors is unfortunate but doesn't make him superior to Novak - unless you're going to grant extra majors to Djokovic for gluten intolerance limiting his stamina until 2010, Agassi for sciatica making him waddle like a duck, PETE for Thalassemia which made winning the Aussie and RG a *much* more difficult proposition than for 99% of other greats including Federer, Nadal and Djokovic, etc. etc...

The deeper you go, the worse the case for Fedal, and Nadal in particular gets.

Djokovic is too old now, he can maybe win a Bo3 against Sinner or Raz on a complete off-day, but he will not beat them anymore in a slam.

Against Sinner, zero chance (Bo5 and maybe even Bo3). Against Alcaraz, he seems to match up much better. Hell, he has a more recent Bo5 win against Alcaraz than he has Bo3 against Sinner.

and after that nole beat rafa in 11 out of 12 next maches and NEVER lost a single match outside of clay! AND never lost a single set on HC making it 9-0 in HC matches and 19-0 in sets. if rafas 6 of 7 was strong response so was noles respons super anticlimactic for rafas strong response.

History will remember them as - Best Serve and Volley Player - Sampras, Best Allrounder - Federer, Best Baseline Players - Djokovic on Hard and Grass, Nadal on Clay. All these 4 you can call “Super 4” of Tennis

I didn't realize Nole had more weeks at #2 than Rafa. Anyways, many of these are the equivalent of the second tier stats Mustard posted, which is appropriate.

Djokovic should spare himself this needless fall from grace. Rafa and Federer declined due to career-ending injury, but Djokovic is fit.
1H 15 min 1st set with Fritz and he stopped; because of fitness or was it knowing he would make $1.5M regardless?
Do all participants make $1.5M and only the winner takes the $6M prize?
If yes, he made a smart choice.

no, rafa is the greatest no2 player of all time. but nole has more top2 weeks. due he has more no1 weeks over rafa than rafa has no2 over him.

most brutal main stat that nole has over rafa is 209+209+10>209!

then 8>5 and 2>0. thats why rafas fans talk only about slam titles. 22<24 looks so gently if we compare it to other main stats as 209<209+209+10 for exemple!

Sampras was really an all court player who was convinced to become a serve and volleyer later in his career, and Borg the next best after him. Federer was an aggressive baseliner who could volley quite well during the handful of times he came into the net per match.
