Nordicdots Tennis Racquets - Model99

In Germany it's based on Art. 2 Abs. 1 GG, Art. 1 Abs. 1 GG which refers to personal rights and the rights on his own saying/wording. Consequences could be that beckett has to delete his video with the picture of ND owners email.
Consequences would be worse if it could be proved, that beckett published the video to harm nordicdost and ruin sales numbers. But thats only for Germany and as far as I understand, not sure if there's an EU-wide law which is Hulger refering to.

Thank you - not sure if that's relevant though, since neither Nordicdots nor Tenncom are based in Germany as I understand it.

Yes, how it is in Germany is totally irrelevant in this case. But it changes at least my view on particular points of the communication from ND owner to beckett. On particular points, not on the whole thing.

Just to clarify, are you referring to the request to cease and desist? The communication from ND was prior to the YT video, so I'm not sure which points the German (or EU?) laws would change since the aggressive communication was prior to publication of the video. On the other hand, what would change my viewpoint would be if the first reviewer received a similar cease and desist email (though this wouldn't excuse the unnecessarily aggressive behavior from ND).

You're right, i got a bit lost on this and the timeline. ND Owner could had said this to the published video but not to the initial posts on here.

Hey anyone have experience with the diadem Elevate or elevate tour V3 seems like the specs are similar to this model 99 if you have experience with both frames how would you compare them the strengths weaknesses and similarities ples and ty
Yes.

I am liking the M99 more and more everytime I play with it over my Elevate 305.

I have played with the Elevate v3 since release, and the V2 prior as my main sticks. I switched recently to the Babolat Pure strike 98, 16x19, seeking more power. When I hit with the M99 I am experiencing something in the middle of my two mains. M99 has more power than the elevate, less free spin, less maneuverability, more stability. Thicker beam and more head heavy balance point (by 2 points) are very noticeable to me. I really am enjoying the feel of the M99 over the diadem, since that just feels very muted to me. The diadem is much easier to play with, M99 you need to have good technique everytime you hit the ball. Volleys are fantastic with the M99 because of the high twist weight, but slow to prepare for, which is an ok trade off as I feel pretty confident with the M99 at the net.

I plan to finally play a match with it this weekend!

Thats really interesting considering the head light balance seems to be more on the model 99 than the elevate based off the specs provided online. Definitely going to get the model 99 once back in stock. ty for ur feedback.

Yesterday I played my first session with the M99.

My racquets for the last 15 years have always been some kind of Pro Stock, I like to play with the specs, but for the last 5 years I have been using the Gravity Tour (341.1/341.2) with a lot of lead (3/9/12) and silicon.

However, I am getting tired of using these heavy frames and wanted to try something with a little more power and less weight, something like this M99, Extreme Tour/Pro, etc.

Comments:
Great stability, I use 3/9 lead in my Gravity's for stability, but found no need with the M99.
Moderate power, very controllable racquet in my opinion.
You definitely have to be ready to hit the ball, if you do not hit it with the right technique you will feel it.
Light, but not at the same time, it is very strange to describe it, in my opinion I did not feel the change from my racquet that weighs 325 grams without strings to this M99 that weighs 300 grams.
It is also worth mentioning that I did not feel that I improved much in all shots, I felt that I was playing "the same" level as usual, but for me the advantage is that my arm did not get tired and is a PLUS.
The forehand improved a little in power and spin, the backhand slice was a little difficult, I think because of the width of the racquet.
The best were hitting volleys, definitely a pleasure to hitm very solid feeling
I also struggled a lot with my serve, I'm used to a 340 sw and when I hit that the racquet follows its course with a lot of plow and with this M99 the plow half exists, again you need to have a good technique to generate the plow yourself.

Overall , with this first session I must say I might keep it and make the switch, like I said I did not improve a lot, but for me i was looking for something new and with less weight but not loosing my "level" and I think I found it.

The raquect i bought it from a fellow member and it came with MSV Focus-Hex Soft 17 1.20mm 46/44 (my normal set up is Toro Toro / Enso Pro) , I must say i really liked this string i will keep using it.

I am currently looking at the model 99, diadem elevate v3, toalson forty love and the angell k seven 98 to move on from my current frames ty for the feedback

You're right. They are both 7 pts head light stock. I guess I just had it in my mind it was a different balance since I've been messing with the elevate since switching. I don't know the SW yet. But it feels more laborious to get the M99 around, and that's what I have been enjoying on the bh.

What are your current frames? And what are you looking to achieve by switching?

Current frames are the vcore tour 89 and vcore pro 97HD.

Love them both but i favour the 89 more especially on bh more access to spin while maintaining pinpoint accuracy but the 97 is more forgiving for obvious reasons. Both on serve are great. Both of them are on the heavier side as well vcore 89 being 362 grams and 97 being 344 i wanna reduce my weight so i can maneuver better. These frames seem to be up my alley especially if i wanna customize if needed

Love the 16x20 pattern that the vcore 89 provides and i wanna stick with it. Thats why I've been lookin into this frame and the other ones i mentioned before.

Anyway... managed to scrape up the bumper after knifing some slices the other day and was wondering if anyone knows if replacement bumpers and grommets will be made available at any point or would you have to contact them directly for that?

1) If the racket sent to a reviewer/youtuber not for review then why sent it in the first place. ND voluntarily sent the racket knowing exactly what they gonna get. They can always refer to hundreds of videos in his channel for his style of reviews. Do some research.

2) Tencomm posts on this forum is not negative nor complete. It’s his first impression on the stock form racket. He will customize it to his spec like hundreds of rackets he’s done before. That’s super normal.

3) From the email exchanges, everything seems to be fine in the first place. The company said to send the new racket to him, but the owner lost it too quickly over some posts. The posts didn’t share confidential information more than posts from other people here. What’s the matter with threatened legal action?

4) Tencomm didn’t sabotage the racket or the company. If anything, the owner sabotage themselves with his attitude in that email. @dr. godmode just simply shared it with the public.

Bingo! Don’t know what everyone else is blabbing about. Common sense is a good thing

@HypnoticLasagna - Seems like the M99 might then be a bit better as a 2-handers racquet, with the slightly more cumbersome through-the-air feel and higher twist weight. What do you think?

Id agree, but I'll let @JOSHL comment with his OHBH experience. It's fantastic on the BH slice.

Loving the frame today, and excited to play a match with it tomorrow. Hit for about 2 hrs and basically hit with this and my elevates only since my elbow is recovering. Getting the same control I got with the RF01, but more comfortable. Volleys are fantastic and this frame makes me want to leave my post at the baseline. I might restring it with NordicDots power string tonight. But we will see. M8 seems to still be ok after a few weeks.

To add my swingweight : 325 strung with M8 and an overgrip. No mods.

This is such a high quality frame. I think I’ve found my favorite shot using it: overheads. I don’t think I’ve missed one yet. They’re so solid and the sound is extremely satisfying. It feels like you’re pancaking the ball. Forehands too!

But I cannot find my ohbh with this frame. I’ve tried and tried and can’t slice forever. I’ll either have to switch to a 2 hander or let them go to a good home. Bums me out. They’re really (really) good sticks.

Hard to say from limited experience but I found it fine on the OHBH. Really good frame in my opinion, I’d like to do an extended demo and throw my big butt on it to really see what it can do.

I’m in the same boat as you, while I do find it slow through the air it doesn’t affect the One Hander that much I’ve found, just a timing thing to consider that goes away after a session or two. The swing speed and swing style in general I think is what makes it feel so 6.1 95esque in its own way, with the comparable advantage of having a low static weight meaning it stays maneuverable at net and doesn’t tire out the arm as much over prolonged periods of play

I'm pleased to share that the owner of NordicDots reached out to me this morning to make things right. We both agree that the tennis community is better united and are amicably moving forward from this incident. We are both looking forward to future collaborations.

Awesome to hear misunderstandings happen

Now can anyone give their thoughts on the racquet? What type of player it would or wouldn’t suit? what Skill level is at aimed at? So who should stay away? And if possible comparisons to other racquets? As I’m sort of interested but would like to know more from someone who has used it any feedback is welcome.

That’s fantastic news to hear. Doesn’t absolve from the initial and double down but glad they took the initiative to try and repair the damage

Today, I came across a highly disappointing video of @dr. godmode crying and publicly revealing private messages. In doing so, he also heavily criticized a new racquet brand, effectively sabotaging it. This incident is disappointing for both parties involved. However, after reading the early impressions, I can somewhat understand their reaction. You received a racquet with notable flex, yet you failed to analyze this aspect. Instead, you made irrelevant comparisons to entirely different types of racquets and used inappropriate adjectives. Frankly, this racquet’s specifications seem far beyond your current playing level.

Of course resorting to legal threats is wrong and utterly foolish. However, someone with a significant following who profits from racquet reviews should focus on providing technical and objective analyses, rather than prioritizing personal preferences. And publishing such an emotional video to seek community support, knowing the potential harm it could cause to the sales of what might be a great racquet, comes across as a fragile and irresponsible move.

Yea 100% right on the dot. That nordicdots email was completely unprofessional and petty. But @dr.godmode whining like that, knowing what he’s doing to the new company is pathetic. I bet if a bunch of influencers came out and said it’s amazing and he was playing indoor tennis, he’d love it like the rest of the crowd.

Something to be said when someone makes a mistake and is smart enough to track back and fix it.

I wrote to them on October 19, 2024 the first time asking when they would back in stock and they replied that as soon as the new stock arrived they would "set aside"some rackets for me.

This past Friday, November 8, I wrote them again asking them how the process would be, if they could place an order in my username on their page or if I have to wait until it says “in stock”., but I have not heard back from them.

lets see what happens

Anyone who got the first set of frames....the "sticker" with the weight and balance from ND, i have 2 questions,

1. The frames from ND come with plastic wrap in the handle?
2. If they come with plastic in the handle, then the sticker weight and balance have this include it?

Regards

1. Yes
2. Probably. Did not measure the difference or care to.

Started playing with the frame again after hearing the air had cleared with the owner and such, really do have to say this is likely going to stay as my go-to match racquet alongside my TC97s. Probably the only frame I'll own multiple of outside of the Angells. Absolute bombs on serve and return and have hit a perfect stride on the one hander with it as well by this point. It certainly plays better with a more poppy, soft string than a more stiff, control string in my opinion as the dwell time really lets you let loose in whatever direction you need at the time.

Hows the launch angle low like 18x20 or is it more comparable to a 16x19
