Is Sky News Australia the same as Sky News in Britain? Like coverage because I get the impression it isn't, I have NO idea about Australian Television, love their movies though, Wolf Creek mind you is as brutal as the Saw films.

Tennis star Novak Djokovic recently “raised the bar” in a tweet addressing one of his “biggest" critics' recent death, Sky News host James Macpherson says. “One of Novak’s biggest critics, sports journalist Mike Dickson, tragically collapsed and died while covering the tennis last week,”

Mr Macpherson said. “He called Novak a deplorable, a fanatic, a dangerous quack – he wrote Novak’s reputation had been ‘trashed beyond repair’.

Mr Novak left a message on Twitter reading: ‘Condolences to Mike Dickson’s family. Rest in peace.’ The Serbian tennis star’s critics have “never” been so gracious toward him and the champion continues to “raise the bar” both on, and off the court, Mr Macpherson said.

Except, that he didn't have to do that in the first place to someone, who was complete a*shat towards him all this time but he did it anyway (trying not to judge the dead here...but yeah...)
One does have appearances to keep being the goat
And yea part of it might have been the coolness of Novak I agree but it’s not “raising the bar” more than being chill and not holding grudges

We had a thread on this and i'm guessing it got deleted because of how awful that Sky "news" video is.

As if Djokovic was going to wish ill on someone who had just died. It's actually a disrespectful video to Djokovic for heaping praise that he passed along condolences to the family of someone who DIED.

Also disgusting how that vile sky news tried to link the journalists death to the covid vaccine.

Yet it's a common trait of the vaxxie to wish ill on those who chose not to get the clot shot.

For context, Sky News in Australia is the equivalent of a United States local Fox News affiliate but with National reach.

Very parochial, and it is opinion-based content centred around issues in the legitimate news. Definitely not to be confused with genuine news or reportage, more opinion-based content and platforming their program presenters and shows.

What's Djokovic supposed to say... "so happy to learn this a-hole who trashed me is dead. Celebrating crazily over his demise?"

Errr...like nothing at all? Like the rest of those, who didn't comment on his passing?? LOL You people make it sound like someone broken into Novak's hotel room in Melbourne and forced to make comment at a gunpoint! LMAO It was his personal choice to react or not to...he chose to react, which is why this is admirable...you confuse it with the situation in the press conference room after matches either won or lost and players are forced to respond in a certain way...do you not understand the difference here? Do you really??...:whistle:

He doesn't raise any bar, he is just simply a decent human being, unlike Uncle Toni who wished ill on Medvedev, Alcaraz and Djokovic. That clan is something else.

Is Novak going to tweet an RIP message to all journalists who pass away?
Has he ever done it before this?
I question his motive for doing it to the one journalist who opposed him the most.

The way that Mike Dickson treated Djokovic was abhorrent, but regardless, his death is a tragedy and the only appropriate reaction is to offer condolences to his loved ones.

Again with this nonsense, you are not capable of seeing this as a joke and a form of appreciation from Toni to the other players who are at a very high level.

Toni wished that? Do you have a link?
“Now, what we need is, we need an injury – of [Carlos Alcaraz], of Novak Djokovic and maybe, [Daniil Medvedev]. We need that many... a lot of problems and then Rafa can play really good,” the Spaniard’s uncle quipped.

Lol right, ok, if i read the article from an autistic point of view i can agree with you

If Novak were British this wouldn't be "raising the bar" it'd be sarcasm. I'm not entirely sure it's not, tbh.

I said it when he was deported, that one day he will be vindicated.

I was right.

The Earth's Mightiest came out on top, once again.
