Some ATG on grass, huh? This is unacceptable. Even Andy Murray has more titles on grass than the Serb. I think Novak should vulture Eastbourne again.

Think about your legacy, man. Where is the Queen's title? Where is the Halle title? You're supposed to be an all-round player.

I don’t like Djokovic but his limited titles are due to the fact that he almost never plays the big warmups. Grass these days is slow and basically plays right into the hands of a baseliner. Djokovic has been the best baseliner in the world for along time. If we went back to traditional fast grass like that seen in Halle Djokovic would not be nearly as successful.

Boohoo. 06-08 Nadal had to take on prime Fed in the Wimbledon finals. Could have had 5 W titles if he got Novak’s final opponents.

Murray 2012 vs Djokovic 2014, who wins?
I think Murray tbh.

I think the only Djokovic that 12-13 Murray loses to is 11/15 Novak.

This is because of matchup folks. Murray’s slice and CC flat backhand is usually tougher for Novak to handle. On grass that is magnified.

I think 11 might even be a coin flip.

If he would only play Queen's more instead of wasting his time fooling around at The Boodles for his pre-Wimbledon prep, he could have established a better grass portfolio by now.

He should play Halle. You can find tougher competition at your local village tournament, than in that place...
He tried in 2009 and was schooled by Haas, a weak era mug from before Fed’s era.

He wants no business playing Halle where all court skill is rewarded on the fast grass, rather than pushing.

Pretty much this. Wimbledon is nice and all, but doesn't do much for your legacy. Halle is where it's at.
No Halle title really hurts his legacy. I can’t ever recover from this
It actually does. 0 titles on fast grass and pretty much owned when he plays on slick fast low bouncing conditions. It points to a lack of versatility.

and no, vulturing a Cincy against an ancient Federer doesn’t change this.

There are literally only 3 pre-Wimbledon grass tournaments on offer with 2 playing same time.

It's not like hard but to compare it wiuld be like judging a player for not winning Cincy/Canada but several USOs

Another thread trying to discredit the legacy of Djokovic. What's new? haha.
Whether you like it or not, he's won 5 Wimbledon titles!
At the end of his career, how many other grass titles outside of Wimbledon he's won is quite insignificant.

From 2011 he makes a heavy run at the clay court season with the ultimate goal of roland garros.
Except 2016 it ends with disappointment.

So after RG he is mentally exhausted, he found that he needs that break to put behind the disappointment and recharge himself for Wimbledon. It worked for him.

Only in 2017 and 18 where he was struggling, he tried to find his footing and played grass season

Imagine losing to your pigeon after having match points, some great player, huh?

And just to show how much of a mug he is, 3 weeks later he played and won yet another mickey mouse tournament.

Wimbledon ATG but not a grass ATG. King of the AO but mediocre HC player. Top 10 Clay-courter all time with 1 RG.

LOL! Six grass court titles with 5 at Wimbledon, sounds good to me.

True grass ATGs are able to complete the Queen's/Halle-Wimbledon double ie. winning them back to back. Only 8 players in the OE have ever achieved this (Fed being the only one doing Halle). Even Nadal has achieved this.

Djokovic hasn't even completed The Boodles-Wimbledon double!
