Bull looking upset... ?

Things are not what they seem to Djoko fanatics. Rafa and his wife won the Laureus award, too:

He has won in the past, I am aware of it.

This year he got for his Tennis Academy ? What sort of an award is that? Is that a consolation prize?

On Monday, Rafa's received the Laureus Sports for Good award for his foundation, not his academy.

The Laureus website: “Laureus Sport for Good is the beating heart of the Laureus movement and supports over 300 programmes across the world [in over 40 countries and territories] – since its inception [in the year 2000] it has positively impacted the lives of over six and a half million young people. Each year, at the discretion of the Laureus Academy, the Laureus Sport for Good Award goes to one such programme.“

I have replied to the comments about Rafa. I wonder why you don't see the comments I have replied to.
I do but:
1) the thread title is about Novak
2) there is a comment about Rafa in about every thread on the board and I don’t see you policing all of them.

So…why would you even enter this thread if it was made to have nothing about Rafa in it??

Then why is the 2nd comment in this thread (written by a Djokofan) about Rafa? Also, why is the second comment from OP (a Djokofan) about Rafa?

Ask Djokofans why they entered Rafa into this thread (the 2nd and 4th post in the thread).

It's about provoking a response, which succeeded

I think Novak would be friendly with most

But Nadal did have a stick up his when he started losing.
You are wrong. Djoko has said several times that he can't be friends with his rivals.

You are maybe right. But I am not wrong.

Be honest. Which side do you think most of the negativity is coming from? And I am leaving the topic here. Don't want to keep going in circles.

I seriously think Sinner deserved it way more than Djokovic. Sinner has clearly been the best player of 2024 so far, while Djokovic has not won a single title this season.

Are you certain that @Razer is a Djokofan?
I wasn't too sure before, but recently, based on what I've seen from him, I would say yes.
I mean, whenever I speak indisputable facts about tennis involving Djokovic, he almost always objects. I find it remarkable how he tries to gain credibility by arguing that 1-6, 2-6'ovic is somehow better than GOATSinner lol

Friends or not, it's well known that Djokovic has very good relationships with most young players. Except maybe Norrie and a few exceptions. But the vast majority likes him, looks up to him and regularly has nice interactions with him. Watch the video of the game before the World Tour Finals in Turin last year. He is very close to Medvedev, Zverev, Rublev, Alcaraz, Sinner, Rune, Ruud, Hurkacz (and others).

Fedal never had this kind of relationships with younger players. I'm not saying this to criticize them. It's their choice, I respect it. But it's true. They are all cordial and respectful to each other but they don't share the same closeness.

Alkaraz is 16 years younger than Novak, the two cannot possibly have the same relationship as Novak has with Fedal.

Thats not quite true. Federer was more distant purely due to him being significantly older, but Rafa only last week said he is still playing on as he likes hitting with the guys and hanging out with them.
Most of these players get on very well, they are colleagues. Nadal and Djokovic are not best mates, but there is no bad blood at all and they will have a drink together at award ceremonies as will most players, just like i would do with colleagues and opponents in my profession.

The level of obsession about Nadal from Djokovic fans has reached new levels of hysteria, and Nadal has barely played in 2 years. When will they let it go lol. Its weird.
It seems that only Nadal's fans are trying to artificially revive the discussion about Nadal by mentioning how important he is to Novak's fans.

In most cases, Novak's fans make fun of Nadal as a long-lost rival.

it was Djokovic fans who brought Nadal up...in a thread that has absolutely nothing to do with Nadal . That is called obsession when instead of being happy for something the player you support has won something you are thinking about one of his rivals.

How does Nadal have anything to do with yesterday's award ceremony? He was there, he received an award for the foundation, he gave interviews that were broadcast live, he was in the frame a couple of times while Novak was speaking, Novak himself mentioned him during the speech.

How is that related to Djokovic's award?

The award was for achievements in 2023. Djokovic won 3 Slams. We will have to wait until the end of the season to see who wins for 2024 which will be awarded next year.
