Novak Gracious in defeat - more humble than humbalito no?

He's a classy loser-- no question about it. But "gracious" in victory, are you kidding? What is gracious about these nauseating displays? Pure embarrassment and cringe to watch. Imagine Fed, Edberg or Laver doing this. It's so cringe there's no words.

Its emotions after tough match win. Much harder to accept loose and be gracious. If you participated in any sport at high level, you would understand it.

Personality as in Rune”s energy on court. He doesn’t seem to give up and stays in the moment.

Well, we'll never know and it doesn't matter much :)

It was a good fight by the young Dane. Hope the bad behaviour is only in the past.

Maybe a tad condescending from Novak to say that he's 'sure' Holger has a 'bright future'? His bright future is here now as he just beat Novak at one of his most dominant events!!

So do tell, which sport did you participate in at a high level?

That's not quite how it works though. Wasn't Khach in the exact same spot and achieved the exact same thing a few years back against a younger much in form Djokovic, would you say his future was truly shining from that point on?

The "gracious" loser:

Novak's not in the slightest bit gracious whilst he's losing (to the point of overt gamesmanship on a number of occasions) but after the fact he's very gracious, or at least has been for a long time - I seem to remember him being a bit of a nob after some losses pre-2011 but afterwards I really can't remember anything.

Djokovic played like crap in that final, along with the ATP final against Zed that year. Way too many uncharacteristic errors from him. I think he had a fever or something. Rune actually has the game to make this win not a fluke as he'll beat Djoko several more times.

Somehow I think Rune is going to be more the real deal. He seems to have a fire and hunger that Khachanov never truly possessed or didn't keep for long. But no doubt we'll soon see!
