Novak is favorite Sunday.

Oddsmakers have Rafa a slight favorite for the moment, when it should be the reverse.

Based purely on what we say Friday, Novak is the clear logical favorite.

He has mastered the drop shot in his arsenal, and i fully expect him to take advantage of Rafa's short backhand weak replies at mid-court to drive the Mallorcan mad as a hatter.

Rafa needs to raise his current level if he wants a 13th title: we saw glimpses in that late third set vs Schwarz where he decided all of a sudden to turn his BH and dictate with the forehand, and it did the job.

So, I have no favorite for Sunday: if things stay as we saw up to now, Novak will be at 18 on Monday.

I agree that Nadals shot making has to improve. He cannot throw weak balls that aren't even going near the baseline.

Its certainly alarming for me, how short he keeps putting the ball.

Almost 2015 like at times, and Novak will destroy him if he plays like that.

On the other hand , Djokovic hasn't beaten Nadal on clay in over 4 years, even when Nadal isn't playing spectacular.

Its 50/50 for me , in current form. With Nadal favourite IF he can up his game just a little.

Having the final in October and heavier balls, with lower bounce all favour Nole.
In saying that, Nadal is unbeaten in RG finals, so Nole will still have to bring his A game.

Heard it all before.

many people and so called experts were saying Nole was favourite to win French open in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2019. What happened every time was Rafa collecting another French Open title.

He is mentally & physically fresher than Novak going into this match. To me Novak's only chance is to keep with Rafa blow for blow for first 2.5 sets then hopefully as Rafa is not as match tough as Novak in 2020 and Novak has slight mental edge h2h that might get to Rafa.

Make no mistake Rafa is and should start favourite tomorrow. However if there is one player he will be worried about it is Novak.

Yeeaaa, no. In this tournament, on that court and in the final, there's only one favorite and that's about as much as there is about this matter.

If Rafa loses the first set the final will be a blowout.

If Nadal can win the first set he has 50% chance to win in maximum 4 sets. If it goes to 5 sets he will lose the attrition war. Novak has no lungs and doesn't tire, just pretends to lower guards. The 2012 Ao proved he is not human when it comes to fitness condition.

Very tiny chance Novak will have a meltdown and throws a raquet in someone's head and gets defaulted the match.

Which is annoying.. Federer Display the best grasscourt tennis, Nadal the best claycourt tennis, and the aikido return player with 50 kg body weight who looks passing away every 5 mins still finds his way to win. Lets hope not this time.

Yes he is...
If Nadal and Novak play as they did in Friday it will be rg2015 or ao2019. If Nadal raise level it will be Novak in 4 or 5...
Only Nadals hope is Novak's injury or tornado on court ...

Don't care what month or conditions (it's not supposed to rain anyway). I know those are important factors in a sense, but they won't stop Nadal on Sunday. Match up and the mental part I doubt will stop him either. The match up is different on clay and Nadal is a mental giant on this particular surface.

Novak has a chance, but it isn't a particularly good one. The Tsitsipas and PCB matches proved that IMO.

Djokoer plays flat when he is not playing against federer or nadal...
I think repeat of 2019 Aus final is happening tomorrow
