Novak really reminds me of Agassi

Sorry for posting here, just wanted you guys' opinion on this ->

After his latest match against Delpo, I can't help but compare Novak with Andre ; both seem to have a knack of getting in the right position to hit the ball (Agassi calls it the "hitting zone" I think); both seem to take the ball very early; both hit with machine-like accuracy and consistency, seldom if ever making an error; both possesss very dependable serves; both appear to be supremely fit (Agassi in his prime was very fit and match tough after Gil Reyes took over his physical training); both like to move their opponents around the court like a yo-yo till they make errors. And of course both use Head Rackets :)
Does anyone share this view as well? It might take another Pete Sampras to beat Nole :)

to an extent yes, but nole's defense is insane, agassi was just average as far as that is concerned ... Nole's serve is also better by some distance ..

Agassi was a cleaner ball-striker, took it more on the rise and had a better return as well ( though nole is returning insanely well these days on slower courts )

P.S. sampras could and did exploit agassi's movement, don't think that's possible with novak

Not to me. Agassi was a more aggressive, offensive minded player who stood in close, hit harder, flatter, more penetrating groundies, but, he didn't move that well, or hit that well on the stretch. Djokovic is quicker, bigger and a better defensive player who hits more looping groundies and is very effective on the stretch.

Novak's game gives me a perception that there seems almost no dividing line between his defense and attack.

I thought if anybody had a chance, Delpo might if he could bring his A game into their match and Delpo did come to win and did play well but there was just no way in for him.

I am glad that I am witnessing the history here but I am afraid his run is going to end in this tournament.

Just curious why you would say that, any reason? Novak looks to be supremely confident and very difficult to beat; no wonder Nadal (having been beaten 4 times in a row) says that the No 1 ranking is pretty much done and dusted as far as he (Nadal) is concerned. ;)

Novak right now is Agassi at his best plus much better movement and serving.
