Novak should embrace the role of the villain

He gets irritated for lack of crowd support. Be the villain Novak. The crowd will one day embrace you. But for now, you are the guy that is supposed to win. And it will take Fed retiring and maybe even Rafa before you win the crowd. I say be the villain. Embrace it. Rack up majors.
I'm pretty sure he will do it. Why? ..... because some random internet dude hiding behind a key board said so :)

This. If he just gave up the "face" schtick, and came out as a heel, accuse the crowd of crazy stuff, give WWE type interviews, he'd be epic, because he could back it up
You are known dedicated Nole hater, so please preach about his fakeness and true villain character.

Djokovic is not a villain as it's not in his personality, he's one of the most respected and liked players on tour. It's the media who have misrepresented Djokovic for more than a decade that want sheep to believe he is a "villain".
Novak should have hired powerful PR agencies in UK and USA ..... buy journalists.... had he had a powerful PR today he would be seen a lot more pleasantly.... he has weak pr.

Djokovic could never be a villain because that's not who he is at the core. He would not be true to himself nor would he be a good role model for younger kids coming up, including his son. The villain character is out. I think he will be appreciated a lot more in 2025 once the new generation has taken over and a 38 year old Djokovic is the last remaining of the old guard trying to hold on before the big 3 are entirely finished and replaced.

I don't hate the guy at all, what I really hate is the Pepe Imaz inspired cringe inducing "I wuv ewe" schtick, plus the gamesmanship he picked up from the nadal

I would like IF he wins 21 GS and in the interview they ask him: "How do you fee?l", saying something like "It feel amazing to stick it up your asses once again". And this will be the last tournament he plays, he retires after this. Leaves all of these haters in total ruins.

The ironic thing is that a lot of people would respect that more than his usual begging and whining.

No I didn't see you making fun of him while he was losing 2-1.
Why you need to explain yourself ? Like you have real reason that is justifiable in normal world ?

The syndrome of a small man that dreams to "stick it" to the big guns, but instead keeps his head down day after day?

You mean when he took the "mental time out" ie utilized blatant gamesmanship, as I referenced in my post above?

You're obviously ******** or something though, I had no idea that a core of Novak fans had grown that were basically another vamos. The cancer has spread.

No but before that when he was playing and losing.

It is at least economical with the truth to say he reacts to lack of support. He already said it doesn't matter and he does even mental tricks to turn it around.

I reviewed the shout in the 9th game of the first set and he clearly was angry at the person who cheered thinking Thiem had won the point. He wasn't angry at the whole crowd.

Although a 7th time champion indeed deserves a bit more respect. If they don't want to give him credit during the match, they will be forced to give at the end of it. Simple as that.

There have been multiple threads on this subject before.

It’s too late for Novak to change his public persona, he’s been on tour for 14 years and outside Serbia (and to a lesser extent, China), he’s not liked. He’s the least popular great player since Lendl, who handled his unpopularity with the proper attitude of not giving a damn. This desperation of Djoker and many of his fans to be adored just exacerbates the problem.

Maybe on the bolded part but I don't recall Pete Sampras being a fan favorite either.

That’s very true. This is probably the best reason why he won’t embrace that role.

Yes he was obnoxious, same sort of stuff that used to spew from Connors’ mouth.
Lol stop, that **** was tame, especially compared to the way dudes argue with officials in basketball and baseball. Hell, Nadal was going at it with the official pretty good when he got his time violation too.

Doesn't bother me. I don't have a sick obsession of being liked.

Every normal human being wants to be appreciated and liked..Its a natural feeling..Only twisted and demented people don't get that..So you get the hint, you lowlife..
