I know some yes, but I can also read something you kids seem unable to do! All of the big four plus Del potro rank Olympics on same level as majors! Murray in today's daily telegraph put the Olympic win above Wimbledon!!!!
As usual on this site though the truth is hard to handle for most of the clown, including nadal fans btw.
Djokovic slam is that special, it gives more weight to a slam count.
WTF is more valuable than Olympic gold and it's played every year. Novak has them 5, Nadal 0.

No one ranks more Olympics than Wimbledon and I know some pros too. They are better than yours!
So why do the pros not mention the WTF as achievements they are most proud of but all mention the Olympics? With respect stop posting drivel and listen to the pros.
Nadal winning the Big three slams on three diffrent surfaces in same calendar year carries more prestige than the nole slam....ask federer! He stated that in a TV interview in September or august last year ! He didn't name them directly but he said winning majors on three different surfaces in a single year is the biggest achievement in the sport .
So by your logic nadal has 20 slams!!

Don’t believe everything you read. The greatness of some player is not measured by his medals I think. You don’t expect from Murray to say in the newspapers that slams are more important ?!
Nothing beats Djokovic slam except the CYGS. Both are 4 in a row, all surfaces. And no, Fed couldn't compare Nadal's achievement with Djokovic slam year ago because Djokovic slam didn't happened yet.
WTF > OG, Olympics is different because players represent their countries and it's every 4th year. The fact that Nadal has 0 WTFs disqualifies him from the GOAT discussion.

Olympic gold medals are all equal whether they be singled or doubles as they all add to the same medal to the total. They're really just a patriotic pride thing for your country, but in tennis terms don't mean a lot.
To put into perspective, Federer lost to Berdych in 04 before winning USO in a dominant performance. Then lost to Blake in 08, a guy he had owned regularly, before winning USO.
Then in 2012 lost to Murray, a guy he had beat just before at Wimbledon.

To Federer and all multi slam champs before him, it's the majors that truly count. Sure an Olympic gold would be nice, but nobody would trade a slam for an OG.....unless perhaps your name is Murray.

I didn't say the Olympics don't matter as I think many of the top players consider it important but there is no way Djokovic wouldn't be seen as above Nadal if Djokovic equals or for sure surpasses Nadal's slam count because Djokovic doesn't have an OG when Djokovic has more important things like better #1 stats, better YEC record, etc. That's one of the dumbest things I've ever read on this forum. In fact many of your posts are plain stupid and not worth arguing over. Go away.

Yeah, the real question is at 13 would Djokovic be above Nadal with 14. I'd say it's fair to require him to get 14 to surpass though, given the importance of slam total, using other stuff only as a tiebreaker is okay to me, although you could make the argument at 13.
The Olympics stuff is ridiculous, also that guy said Djokovic wouldn't equal Roger because of Olympics if he had 17; RF has a DOUBLES gold, not singles. We are evaluating their SINGLES careers. There would be arguments to make in favor of Fed in the unlikely even of 17-17 tie, but that's not one of them. Jeez...some of these posters... come on.

The question is though, is it JUST the slam tally that goes towards ranking an ATG? Or are there other factors, such as YE No1s, weeks at No1, Masters, YEC, H2H etc?
Because really, all Nadal has over Djoko is the slam tally, and 2 OGs (but that's hardly relevant).

We're saying IF Djoker gets to 14, so currently he is not even on par with Nadal. My argument is based on when/if he gets to 14, IMO he will surpass Rafa in ATG status. Even with 13 slams, I would rate Djoker at least on par with Rafa and above Sampras.

Sorry I misunderstood. I agree he'd be more accomplished with 14, not 13. But I consider the term greatness to contain other factors besides accompishments and Nole would need more than 2 slams to surpass Rafa in my book.
