Novak will prepare in Mallorca before heading to London

Is the Mallorca event not run by Nadal family? Sure it was two years as did not Murray play there while FO was going on?
For Djokovic to be going to Rafa's home town is outwardly astonishing but seems to suggest they may not have the same animosity toward each other their fanbases do.
Also is this at same time as Queens?
Having been to mallorca i can tell you the Nadal family is an empire there. Virtually everything belongs to them one way or another.

It doesn't hurt anyone to have the famous and wealthy use your facilities! In fact it's exactly what you want, because it will bring in even more fame and fortune!

By now Nadal Academy is definitely the most famous, and probably one of the most lucrative, in the world.

He advertises it enough lol

After Mallorca Novak should arrive in London on the 25th to train with a view to his debut on the 28th
Does anyone know if he will play in the tournament? This article says he will play:

Others say he won't

The President of France lifted the curfew for him. There is no danger of Djokovic being affected by the rules for the common man.

As if there aren't dozens of players not named Djokovic who are participating in tournaments outside of the UK and expect to play at Wimbledon

As if

If he plays in the tournament then ok. Is Nadal going to be even practising on grass? I guess he hasn’t announced any withdrawal.

It is weird and makes no sense. He is filling the Nadal coffers for them

I would have thought they’d be like cats outside of the tournaments and divvy up the huge globe between them for their territory! Now it seeks Nole and crew are gonna be camping out in Nadal’s backyard!

Think Macron lifted it for Nadal. He thought it was going 5.

He lifted it, because two players from which his tournament depends, and the match between them was the reason why they made the draw like it was, were playing. I said about Djoke, because it was a comment about his "problems", but the same applies for Nadal or Federer, obviously.

You are so pressed it is not even funny. I never said that the same doesn't apply for the others from the Big 3.

It makes me very curious about Nadal’s plans. Is he preparing there, too? What is going on with him?

The only reason I can think of is that Rafa is not gonna be playing Wimbledon and so not using the courts and his people invited Djokovic for the publicity.

It's not even about Fed or Nadal. No player is going to have issues getting in the UK, so why the comment on the rules not applying to Djokovic?

Because it was Djokovic's supposed arrival in the UK that has been discsussed. I merely pointed out that for him it is even more true, as witnessed by the latest example of him being granted things that were not granted to other tennis players.

Linking an article that says the grass courts are “exactly the same” as Wimbledon, though if that means the actual grass type, I don’t know. However, Toni Nadal said they can serve as preparation for Wimbledon. Who is correct, Toni or Goran?

I don't see how Macron lifting the curfew for the fans "grants" Djokovic anything. He would have been allowed to stay regardless

Explain how that decision benefits Djokovic in any way

It benefits both players as they get to continue without the unwanted long interruption and obviously with the spectators in the stands.

Since you don't see any of that as beneficial, I already said that it is absolutely fine that you are of that opinion.

Should we expect Federer will prepare for Tokyo Olympics in Serbia and Nadal will prepare for US Open in Switzerland?

You really are pressed.

:-D:-D:-D
LOL, not at all. I was wondering how they were going to handle holding a combined WTA/ATP tournament (with the wear on the grass and all), only to find out it's now ATP only.

Mallorca's spot in the WTA Tour has been replaced by a grass court tournament in Germany, for anyone who's curious

:-D

I simply addressed the post that expressed surprise at Mallorca having any grass courts at all. I couldn't care less if the WTA tournament continues, or is replaced by an ATP tournament. For any of those grass courts of decent quality are needed, which was the point I made.

I think they were just being facetious. Like if Basel started to hold a clay court tournament
