Novak will prepare in Mallorca before heading to London

I think they were just being facetious. Like if Basel started to hold a clay court tournament

Well, considering that grass courts are relatively hard to maintain, and Malorca not being exactly the English countryside, I cannot be sure, so I gave a practical reference.

Is the Mallorca event not run by Nadal family? Sure it was two years as did not Murray play there while FO was going on?
For Djokovic to be going to Rafa's home town is outwardly astonishing but seems to suggest they may not have the same animosity toward each other their fanbases do.
Also is this at same time as Queens?
Having been to mallorca i can tell you the Nadal family is an empire there. Virtually everything belongs to them one way or another.

Nole, bring your own water ;)

This is hilarious news...and your follow up on it here guys. I am loving it.

I recall when Roger and Rafa played an exhibition match on half clay and half grass somewhere there. I think they had changovers too. :)

Imagine Nadal winning AO and immediately setting up headquarters in Belgrade

That's what im talking about!!! :D

Djokovic is going to Mallorca to practice on grass courts ...

Not playing the tournament, just paying the court fee ... he can do it as any other $ paying customer.

But, Rafa, we're friends...

You are richer than me, no?

Novak's dad ("Srdjan the Slayer") is coming to Mallorca as well ...

Tio Toni and Papa Serge ... having a cool sangria by the pool ...

Lol Belgrade even has a beautiful clay tournament, he could prepare for clay season there post AO ;)

What do you think? all this CYGS talk and Djokovic hype seems like it’s forgetting that Nadal hasn’t lost at USO since 2018, plays better first strike tennis now than in 2018/19, and is going to come back as hungry as we’ve ever seen him.

I don’t think people pre-emptively giving Djokovic the next 3 slams know what they’re in for, Rafa is going to redline himself on HC and grass one last time IMO.

Sometimes you really have to lose some to win some. Literally no matter how bad Nadal wanted to win the FO, there's no way he wanted it more than Novak did this time. It's just not possible. Novak REALLLLLLLLLLLLY WANTEDDDDDDDD ITTT BADDDDDDDDDD lol. Nadal will be fired up now to prove the story of tennis today still revolves around 2 people and not 1.

Completely agree and now the tables are turned, the Hunter has become the hunted in a way. If Rafa and Djokovic are on opposite sides of the draw I think they’re on a collision course to the final in both remaining Slams. Just don’t see a NextGen or RBA/Raonic type having the gall to take down an angry Rafa at Wimbledon, not with his first strike game. And he’s not letting another Tsitsipas scenario happen.

Djokodal matches with both a slam from the record are what we as fans truly deserve as a conclusion to their primes. I really, really hope we get them

I truly fear for the TTW servers the next time Srdjan decides to do a public interview.
I don't know about that but Srdjan's presence in the box was bit "intimidating" ...

and "irritating" ... to some ...

Still wears the crown of the most "..." Dad in Tennis !!!

The President of France lifted the curfew for him. There is no danger of Djokovic being affected by the rules for the common man.

8-)
The fans didn't want to leave the court so for particular day they allowed them. But that doesn't mean there were changes in the curfew just because of the match.

Nadals serve has been awful this season. A redhot servebot may take him down in the 1st week. If he avoids servebots i think he will have chance in 2nd weeks as the courts will be much slower.

Spain is the place to be ... grass courts, clay courts, hard courts ...

Mouratouglu better pay attention ;)

Djokovic bought a holiday home in Mallorca, so he is preparing for Wimbledon while having fun in the sun.
In Marbella, not Mallorca. Marbella is in the mainland, Mallorca is an island part of Balearics

You'll get the last laugh when Nadal's next FO loss is in 2027

Why do so many posters make it seem like when a player is particularly motivated, it has everything to do with whether they win or not? Don’t ATGs like Nadal and Djokovic want to win really badly every time they show up at a Slam? Their form, tactics and health have more to do with how they perform.

I think that Novak made a complete room just for Nadal in his luxurious mansion at the lake in Serbia because Nadal likes fishing. He intends to host him there one day when tennis wars are ended.

Novak should be afraid.

WTF you complaining for?
Atleast he didn't beat Nadal in his hometown like he did beat Federer in Basel 2009.
Federer get his revenge in 2010, though.

If you think for a second about it, you will realise that I never said that the curfew was lifted for everyone: it was lifted for the people in the stadium, and, yes, changes were made just because of the match.
