Agree, this match was as fair as it can get.... when Novak destroyed his racket at the net,,, he should been penalized a point right there but he got away with it with warning only. Umpire was very fair. Sure Crowd was against him but ,, they are always for the underdog and long 5 setters... they just want money's worth and standing in the cue for 72 hours...lolSo maybe this was just words and didn't mean much as he did say Carlos won fairly, but he made a comment in the ceremony about having won some matches that he maybe shouldn't have won, and then today this happened so its even stevens. Kinda struck me as a little off
Alacaraz mentioned Fed?Both mentioned Federer.
I agree with that.Guys I now he acknowledged some luck for 2019, but this implies luck for Carlitos today, which I don't see.

Overhead smash miss in the 5th to go up 2-0.
All rules are made upNovak got jobbed out of two potential Grand Slams due to the made up rules of masks and shots and Covid. It’s an inequity that can’t be righted (all for nothing) and now he’s that much older. Has a chance @US Open and then AO comes quickly. But the youth brigade isn’t going anywhere. Even a mug like JJ could do him in on hard courts.
There were a couple of really bad 1st serve calls that Djokovic didn't challenge at the end of the second set. Once in the tiebreaker. They showed the Hawkeye on the screen, and it was in, on the line.Guys I now he acknowledged some luck for 2019, but this implies luck for Carlitos today, which I don't see.

Well I can understand why some would call that a lucky break for Alcaraz. It is debatable though since Alcaraz played a hell of a point and the lob he pulled off was so good that Djokovic couldn't exactly even smash it and had to resort to a swing volley.
FedrBoth mentioned Federer.
lol..It was a way to gloat over Fed. Poor taste.
That lob was sky high and only started dropping after it had passed the service box and had a lot of backspin on it. The only way Djokovic was smashing that was if he had the kinda of high quality dynamic overhead of a Federer or Nadal who would often backpedal rapidly and hit the overhead while diving backward and even then it wouldn't be a failproof smash.I thought Djokovic was basically at the net, wasn't a good lob. Should have just stepped back and smash, had a lot of time.
Didn’t sound arrogant to me. Remember how he barely celebrated in 2019 after the winIt was a way to gloat over Fed. Poor taste.
