November 25:
Tiley said there were "one or two players" who had medical exemptions from vaccination but the exemptions were in line with Victoria's health rules.

December 9:
Tiley said "I've seen reports this morning. There's been no medical exemptions that have been granted at this point."

What's with all the threads on this subject? Are people trying to figure out if Djokovic has an exemption?

Looks like Serena's exemption was revoked, wow. You would think Nike would hook her up.

I wonder if it means that there were one or two players who did technically qualify, but who sought out vaccination anyway, and as such are no longer seeking the exemption?

EDIT: @weakera has a good point, Serena may have been one of the players holding an exemption, but she has since withdrawn with injury so the exemption no longer needed in her case.

Its possible, but I recall some very messy and misleading statements Tiley made in past years, and it wouldn't surprised me if one of his statements were false.

IF the exemption were in effect during November and have since been removed, then I think Tiley would have been wise to say "there were a couple of players with exemptions, but those exemptions are no longer necessary for those players".
Instead he said "I've seen reports this morning. There's been no medical exemptions that have been granted at this point."

It likely means that they were going to offer exemptions but that his masters set him straight and are using him as a puppet to deliver their messages.

Yes, right, how terrible of a democratically-elected government that hugely subsidises the tournament to make it follow a simple set of rules.

Theoretical queston: If there was no prize money involved, how many players would be boycotting the AO in protest for all the human rights violations going on over there?
