I think there is something about a two-hander that seems to accentuate the size (appearance) of the upper arms. Take a look at some of these pics of Jen Cap....

HAHA, damn reminds me of dodgeball where that girl on the girl scouts team is on beaver tranquilizers! YIKES!
 
None of those shots are photoshopped.

It is really simply explained. For an instant during a double handed backhand, the players arms are pushed in against their chests, which pushes out and makes prominent the muscle and fat of the under arm and triceps. Also, with gravity, the way the shot is completed leaves the muscle and fat behind that you see.

This is a pic of the same first player, Petrova, when she isn't moving...Rafael doesn't have to worry...
