Yeah for all that talk of the super beast like first 3 in many stats they are not even towering over even though they are better as of now.

I actually agree with this point.

Thiem already has a better win ratio than Safin and Wawrinka and more titles. The slam count will increase as well if he continues on his upward trend and with it a real chance of moving to the top of the rankings.

Could depend on how he develops but for now i agree. It will be hard to win RGs and Wim for him. Looks like AO/USO is his best chance to win slams.

He has improved no end on the HC, for me primarily due to compacting the howitzer of a forehand, and he will be very competitive on that surface going forward. Still think he will be dangerous at RG and a contender. Wimby will be tough - grass is his worst surface.

And yes Novak wasn't himself but he wasn't himself even in Cincinnati. No way he is 100% to beat Thiem.

Nadal played as well as he can on HC and lost in straights.
