NTRP Ratings

So I was wondering if I am going to be moved down from a 3.0 player (I play in a 3.0 league) to a 2.5... it is still relatively early in the season but I am not playing up to the level I want to be and am afraid I might be moved down come year end.

My record thus far:

1-2 in singles

Won 6-1, 6-1
Lost 1-6, 2-6
Lost 1-6, 0-6

2-0 in singles
Won 6-2, 6-3
Won 4-6, 6-3, 1-0

Thoughts?

Is one of those sets of scores for doubles? I guess I don't understand why you show them separately if they are both actually singles.

Stop worrying about your rating and practice, have fun, and your results will improve. Guys I know who worry about their rating play under to much pressure and do not improve their game or play their best

Because the NTRP ratings are a numerical measurement, it's the nature of the beast to think of movement between levels in terms of "up" and "down", but I think this terminology is best avoided.

As humans, we fret about being moved down, or exalt in being moved up, but in reality, when it comes to NTRP we should think of it in terms of being placed with a group of similarly skilled players, which will add to our overall enjoyment of the game.
