Number of views of TennisTV's Youtube Highlights for 2024 WTF (compared to last year)

Many tennis commentators and analysts keep saying the number of views of the Youtube Highlights (TennisTV or the channels of the 4 Grand Slams) are good popularity indicators. Much better indicators than a bunch of comments on X or forums or random polls with less than 1K votes, for instance. It's very representative of the general interest of the worldwide audience for certain tournaments and players. I can only notice the numbers for this year's WTF speak volumes.

Last year the Djokovic/Sinner and Djokovic/Alcaraz matches all brought more than 1.3 Millions views. Peak of 1.7 Millions for the Djokovic/Sinner RR match.
This year the Highlights of Semifinals barely got 420K views. The Sinner/Fritz final has 535K (may still increase a bit but it won't exceed 700K). Sinner's RR matches against DeMinaur, Fritz and Medvedev hardly exceed 300K. Alcaraz's RR matches are not much higher. The only match that drew a bit more interest is Zverev/Alcaraz with 670K views. Still poor, compared to the peaks in 2023. Overall, the number of views was twice if not 3 times higher last year. You'll notice the same if you look at the last US Open numbers on the official channel. The extended Highlights and full match of Djokovic/Medvedev 2023 have the triple of views compared to Sinner/Fritz 2024 (the world number 1 against an American).

If you check the numbers of Masters1000 finals on TennisTV, Cincinnati 2023 with Alcaraz/Djokovic mops the floor with every other finals. The Highlights of this match are nearing 5 Millions of views (4.9 M). Second is Rome 2021 with Nadal/Djokovic (3.2 M). Third is Shanghaï 2024 with Sinner/Djokovic (1.6 M). Guess who's the common denominator. If you still have doubts about Djokovic's popularity and ability to draw an audience, these numbers speak for themselves. WTF 2024 was a giant flop if I refer to these numbers.

Yes, we all know about it.
Novak attracts the biggest audience, especially when he is paired with one of the big 3 or Alcaraz.
5 million views of Cincinnati2023 in a couple of months (maybe even less?) is quite shocking.

Sinner-Alcaraz Indian Wells 2024 semifinal video highlights 2.1 million views.

Sinner-Djokovic semi-final of the Australian Open 2024, video of the full match 1.9 million views.

Give Sinner and Alcaraz time to build the rivalry even in the major finals, and then we will see unprecedented data.
After all, they represent Italy and Spain, i.e. markets infinitely larger than Switzerland and Serbia.

I am convinced that Sinneraz when it reaches its peak in terms of popularity and global interest will surpass even Fedal at its peak.
They generate a combination of styles that is too trendy.
