Can someone clarify what is meant by a soft dampener?

i don't think dampeners release specs like "durometer" but, the soft ones are very malleable if you will, while some feel relatively stiff/hard and can't be easily bent into shape if needed

I’ve been using the Babolat O Ring on my Pure Aero and before on my APD and they always stay in and seem to work well. I’ve never tried other brands so maybe I’ll try some
