O3 White or O3 Tour OS

I demoed O3 white and I think it's a fantastic racquet - so stable and although it's on the heavier side, it didn't feel heavy at all. You can hit so hard and the balls stays in the court. Even hard flat shots clears the net with a bit of topspin safely.

However, I realized that Sharapova's version of O3 white is longer at least 27.5 or longer. I wonder if Prince will release Sharapova's long body version? The O3 Tour OS (Oversize) is 27.5 inch in length (as seen on Prince's website) but no store is selling it yet. I see that the weight is about the same as the O3 white and I think that will be a good stick. I think these 2 sticks are good but not meant for beginners and you need to generate your own power.

I'm not a fan of the O3 silver - too light and powerful and balls keep ging out.

I played a set with the 03 White and felt it was a nice frame too. In fact, I've been away from Prince for awhile and the 03 reminded me of home. The stick didn't seem at all like a "1000" level Prince frame -- I thought control was far better than with my old "900" Bandit. I'm thinking I might buy a few of these frames in a couple years when the "new" sticks come out. The temptation is there now.

I played with O3 Tour OS and liked its control and spin ability. Unfortunately my albow is a bit sore after 2 sets.

I haven't played the O3 White, but O3 Tour 100" left a great impression on me. It's a truly great racquet in my view. I would demo that one if I were you - you might find everything you liked in O3 White in it, plus solve the elbow issues.

I believe it's the best stick that came out with O3 techology. Of course, I'm eagerly waiting for a 95" version...

Edited for bad grammar... it happens.

Check out any prior posts on the Diablo Xtended O/S (looks like they repainted it and are releasing it as an 03 Tour O/S).

I am intrigued with the Tour O/S. Can you post the specs?

O3 Tour OS (Oversize) has a 16/19 string pattern at 27.5 inch long, pretty spin friendly - just demoed today. Power and weight wise are about the same as the O3 white. With the 27.5 inch it is perfect for my 2 handed backhand. Yes, I do agree with the other person - yes, my elbow did hurt a bit after 2 sets. To me the O3 Tour OS feels and hit about the same way the O3 white - you can hit as hard as you can and the balls just stay in for both racquets. The differences are O3 White is only 27 inch long and is arm friendly. My elbow didn't at all after 2 sets of hard hitting. I guess long body racquets of 27.5 inch or more are not as arm friendly as 27 inch long ones.

I guess it's time for Prince to make a arm friendly longbody racquets.

Also, O3 white feels like an improved and more powerful version of the good old Prince Original Graphite racquet.

It looks like o3 white and o3 hybrid shark mp specs are very close. I hit with the shark after the o3 tour os and my elbow felt absolutely fine unlike after the tour practice. Spin generation wasn't as good as with the tour (smaller head, probably).

The O3 Tour (regular) and O3 Tour OS hit pretty much with good spins. OS is better with people who hit a 2 handed strokes. I use a 2 handed backhand and OS seems to be a bit better but my elbow hurt just a bit. I may play around with Gamma RX strings if I go with O3 Tour OS. Right now, O3 white rules for me a bit over O3 Tour. Will they ever come up with a 27.5 inch version of O3 white?

Pancho, Did you try the shark o3?
I demoed that one but I prefered the O3 White's feel best. O3 white is just more a stable stick. Besides Shark O3 is way to light for me.

Just to let you know, Sharapova not only uses a longer O3 white, with pink areas painted on the head, but she has a different number of mains and crosses. Her O3 white is very different than what you can ever buy.

I saw that. Like most top players their sticks are customized by the manufacturer. I met a men's player in the challenger circuit last week who also uses the O3 white and it is also customized and also different from what you buy at a store or what Sharapova uses. He said his O3 white is a mean machine!

I've tried the O3 Tour OS this morning and my elbow felt fine. I have to make a correction to say that is quite arm friendly depsite the 27.5 inch extended length. I am now debating between getting the O3 Tour OS and O3 White. They are both great racquets. O3 white is slightly more stable and comfortable.

I think they are pretty different racquets. the O3 is kinda tweenerish, while the Tour is pretty player style.
