A ppointing Boris Becker as the head coach is a decision Novak Djokovic will live to regret. The appointment will not make much difference to the fortunes of the World No. 2.

Becker has an extraordinary horoscope that made him a legend. But he is currently undergoing a tough phase till end of 2014. Whatever he undertakes during this phase may not give him fruitful results. By Djoker’s extremely high standards, 2013 was disappointing. But his association with Becker would actually result in further decline in his form. Becker will not be able to do what Ivan Lendl has done with Andy Murray.

Djokovic’s association with Marian Vajda has produced six Grand Slams. They were a superior combination as Vajda has a good horoscope and his best in career coincided with the best of Novak. Contrarily, Becker’s best in life is already over. Djokovic himself is going through a middling phase of Saturn and 2014 can’t be his best year in career anyway.

Meanwhile, the other two who matter —Andy Murray and especially Rafael Nadal — are going through purple patches and things can only get tough in the Slams for Djokovic. It wouldn’t be surprising if the Serb and the German have an ugly fallout by the end of year 2014.

Seriously

Are people getting this desperate to find ways to put down Djokovic.

No use. The 2014 will be the Year of Novak.

What did horoscope of Michael Schumacher and Paul Walker say for December 2013? :-?

Wow, you went overboard on this one dude. That was not called for. Have a little respect for them and their families . That was very ill mannered of you. Joke around, not like this tho'. Expected more from you dude.

Leave those topics alone, por favor.

That remark was a little rough, but not inappropriate. Basically, to put it politely, I think horoscopes and astrology are worthless.

As for Djokovic's appointment of Becker, I said a few days ago that it happened at the worst time possible. Not because of any horoscope, but because I have a brain capable of constructing logical arguments, and not the overdeveloped cerebellum some people seem to suffer from.

Horoscope, really? I don't think Becker will make Djokovic worst, after all, Vajda will still be on the team. If Djokovic doesn't like what he's getting from Becker or if the results aren't there, he'll just let him go, like Sharapova did with Connors last summer, as simple as that.

Regardless of if it's Becker or another coach, I'm not sure what a new coach can bring to Djokovic. Djokovic has a complete game, he's gotten much tougher mentally since 2011, so I'm not entirely sure what he's looking for in a new coach? I don't expect him to have an effect like Lendl did on Murray.

This was one of the gems by Greenstone lobo before Wimbledon final.

Octozone: Britons wait for Wimbledon champion could get longer.

It is not because of Djokovic that I am commenting here. I find it absurd that people get into the clutches of these astrologers who just use some facts and logic to predict future and try to put it as prophecies. They tell you in such a twisted way that it becomes a win-win situation for them. Even if astrologers predict that Djokovic will win CYGS, I won't pay heed to it.

Lobo was spot on with his Nadal prediction for 2013.

You don't need to be an astrologer to make these kind of predictions. You can go look up some threads from the time Nadal was on his 7 month break and there were some of us who were convinced that Nadal will be back stronger than ever before. Knowing Nadal's history , this was a common sense prediction to make.

The Novak-Becker partnership just doesn't feel right for some reason and I too don't have a good feeling about it. I am not sure what Novak is looking for from Becker that he signed him up. On the contrary, the Murray-Lendl partnership had win written all over it from the word go. Of course a lot of people were skeptical but I, for one, was certain that Murray will finally start winning majors and realize his potential with Lendl.

Does this guy believe what he writes?
This player is great because planets, yup.
What happens when an astrologers planets/stars are bad ? Does he NOT make any predictions during this time ? Or does he predict the opposite of what his predictions say ? Or does he doubt the very fact that his planets are bad since they are bad ?

I agree, it smacks somehow as a copycat move to hiring Lendl. Becker was never much for tactical tennis and his style of game doesn't mesh with Djoko. In the case of Lendl and Murray, it makes sense because Murray needs a bit more of the ruthless, cold efficiency that Lendl played with. Even Edberg and Fed make some sense because Fed needs to think more offensively. Djoko is and never will be a first strike player, if he tries to be because Becker pushes him that way, I think it will fail utterly.

I thought this was a troll thread. Do people actually believe this crap?

Desperate fans would believe anything that help their agenda, even this, or that decades begin with year ending with 0, even though there was never year 0.

Under BoomBoom, Djoko is yet to reach a Final.
Meanwhile under Vajda, he is undefeated since post-USO last year.

Whether if it's true or not that Boris is a deal breaker, i find it hilarious that Nole hasn't won anything when Boris was around.

If problem persist, maybe Nole will not invite Boris to be present at RG but only Vajda and his team. lol

This partnership hasn't looked really good, but we should wait and see more. It's not like Djokovic has become a much worse player all of a sudden. If anything, Djokovic is keep beating Nadal.

Too much self gloating on account of your own prediction attempts. Not too classy -- it's not just you, it's a horrible habit that many forum members here have. But come on, you're bumping every prediction thread, just 1 or 2 is enough.

It's still early days but compared to recent times Nole certainly underperformed results wise at the AO and yet again fell short in yet another Grand Slam final.

Imo, it is not Becker's fault or Nole's fault for choosing Becker. Had he chose a different coach, he'll still end up with the same results.

I don't think Novak regrets hiring Becker or anything given that he's still winning slams, but let's be honest it's the one that's missing that Djokovic really wants, and Becker's CC record is not exactly sparkling. If you so choose to define regret that way then he might "regret" it yet.
