I was looking up some odds today and saw these odds listed for Federer to win each slam, individually not total. The funny thing is that in the last paragraph, the author lists Soderling, DelPo and Monfils as more of a threat to beat Fed at the French than Nadal.

I also saw this listed about Nadal to win the 2010 French Open. It also lists Soderling, DelPo and Monfils as threats to win.

Also, if anyone could give me advice on how to understand the +/- odds would be great. Like the French Open odds for Nadal are at -137 and Federer's Wimbeldon is at +175. How do I figure out what any one bet would pay? Is 175 for Fed on a $1 bet? What if I bet $12, what would that pay for +175 or the -137?
I'm used to horse betting that uses fractional style, such as the 2/1 or 3/5 style of payouts. They would pay $2 for a $1 bet or $3 on a $5 bet.
