Wanted to update this thread that I was able to reach Angelo by phone and that he was extremely helpful. Unfortunate situation of some crossed wires. I will keep this group updated.
Yes, I just got the same problem. Ordered strings and leather grips. Payment made but nothing went forward for many days. And they don't reply emails at all.

Update:
Just got message from Angelo that my order has been shipped. (y)

I'm glad you got an update, helped me decide to pull the gun on some BPR. I couldn't really pass up that insane deal of 2 reels for 55 euros, and I bought 3 leather grips for 18 euros from the outlet section. Way cheaper than even Golden Set at this point.

Let's hope I don't hate the string.

Anyone had experience with the Black Pearl Penta? Ordering a set of APR from Amazon to try out and saw 2 other options in sets (black pearl penta and sonic speed power). Wondering if those are worth a try too.

In my opinion, Alu Pearl Rough is a hidden gem.

Sonic Speed is nothing special. I've played it twice. Goes dead quite quickly, low power, the ball will almost never sail out of bounds. I'd only suggest it to someone that wants something very low powered, with dead feel, that hits massive swings and re-strings at least 1-2 times a week. The 1+1 reel price is too low to pass, I know.

So, uh, how long did it take to get a response?

Edit: I just got a response... I wonder if Angelo roams TTW.

Anyone else getting zero response from Oehms about their order at present? I ordered over 100 Euro of product from them in early August - payment taken and I have never heard from them again despite efforts to email, use their website contact form and even text them! Zero response and no product - they either have a big problem or do not take customer service as a business need! I am about to pursue them via my credit card company.........

Seems like more and more people having the same issue with Oehms... Too bad. Alu Pearl Rough is a hidden gem and their leather basegrips look great (Head approved).

They are VERY difficult to communicate with. I finally reached them after many attempts. Only advice is to continue trying.

Did you get your payment back? I ordered a month ago. Not replying to any emails.
Status is my credit card have disputed payment and I am waiting for the conclusion. Still nothing from OEHMS at all.......... I was reluctant to pursue them but if they take payment and do not deliver or respond to enquiries then they have no hope unfortunately. Shame as I like their products, have ordered before and no issues but this time - absolutely zero. Best of luck!

Oehms has a store on amazon, fast delivery and i got 10% discount on the next order….good strings, my daughter tried the Alu Pearl & Black Pearl and she complained that Alu is way to soft and the Black is exactly the Alu Black Savage, good for spin but lacks power.

I had some issues as well for a while, but my order is on the way now, tracking number and all. He also sent some extra goodies for the trouble. Given that the products seem good, I hope these issues get sorted out. I did notice that some items are available on Amazon at decent prices, not as good as from Oehms directly, but if ever I want more stuff I’ll probably go through Amazon to avoid the hassle.

Just wanna share my experience , I placed the order on Sept 07 for 2x1 reels of black pearl rough 1.21 gauge that was on special. After about 6-7 days there was no confirmation of the order or any shippment activity and I decided to send email to customer service. I got response same day from Angelo and he told me that unfortunately they were out of that gauge and by mistake my order wasnt filled. Then he asked me do I maybe want different gauge or maybe differemt string. I asked if he could fill the order with alu pearl rough same 1.21 gauge as Im planning to use it in 18x20 patterm racquet and he agreed to it. Then I havent recieve any updates for additional 3-4 days . I decided to send another email, and I got response again same day and he apologized and told me he was sick for couple of days but that mu order was actually ready and was going to ship that same day. That was Sept 21. I recieved the confirmation and tracking number same day. Order is in transit still and will take several days to get here to Canada. All I wanna say is that any time I contacted them I got response same day and Angelo was very polite and apologetic and he made sure that things were done to my satisfaction. Im awaiting for the strings now to arrive. He also said he will make sure next time everything goes smoother and better.

Great - that is good news. Unfortunately my situation is that even after a further email to Mr Oehms (via their official customer email) suggesting he contact me if there are supply issues I would be happy to discuss/work out what he can supply and amend the order - still not even a response. Apart from going to his office and asking to meet him - it seems that contact for some customers is still zero - I am not sure what else I can do......

Yeah man thats very unfortunate.I was little worried when I havent recieved nothing first few days and then I found this thread which made me contact them originaly. And I personaly got immediate response. It was for sure very different experience then what I usually have here ordering from tennis stores in Canada . Here you get confirmation email right away and most times its shipped like next working day but quality of string and price is just unbeatable and will gladly wait few more days for it as long as it got sorted at the end. Im hoping you will get your order sorted out as well.

Thanks!

Big fan of APR. I've just ordered a reel of APR and the new Hexa Elite Touch from their website.

Hexa Elite Touch was exclusively on Amazon for them for a while, so it's great to see on their website.

I'd love Jonas from Tennis Nerd to try out some of these strings because not only are they some of the best value strings around, to me APR is one of the best strings full stop. Good tension maintenance, great spin, comfortable for a poly, nice pop and a soft feel without being mushy.

I'll be away for a week and then most probably hit with the Oehms Alu Pearl Rough 1.25 most probably with the Diadem Elevate V2 FS98.

I'm interested in your Opinion about Hexa Elite Touch. Maybe you can give us some insight about its playability and characteristics.

Alu Pearl Rough played very very well today. First day back on the court after about 10 days off. Not as "buttery" as few other "Alu-clone" strings I've used with the Elevate, but I'll be back with a more thorough review about it. Top-spin assistance was better than the Dyreex Alu Tour 1.25 I played right before this one, but Alu Tour had a more "sticky" feel upon contact that helped re-direct incoming balls.

Considering the price of 60€ for a full reel, Alu Pearl Rough 1.25 is just too hard to pass! Maybe a bit softer at 21-22kg than I'd like on the Elevate, but on a stiffer frame like the V5 Blade it should deliver even better!

You know what's weird, they had that hexa elite on Amazon since like mid last year. I thought it was old stock till now since they have discontinued a few of their other strings previously

Played one more hour straight today with Alu Pearl Rough 1.25 and the Diadem Elevate. Only groundstrokes from the baseline, absolutely ripping flat forehands mostly. Having played some good few hours now, I'd like to have it strung a bit higher for a bit more connected feel and more control.

Other than nitpicking here and there, this string is just very good in everything. I think it has just lost some of its tension now and has become a bit too powerful when hitting with a neutral racketface like almost all polyesters. I regret not having it strung on the Blade 98 that is less muted than the Elevate.

Has anyone else played Alu Pearl Rough and what are any negatives about it, except for durability? I'm not keeping any string over 8 hours in order to keep more playtests ongoing.

I'll give it another go or as many as I can until the end of the week. I think trying a couple different tensions, this string does everything pretty well and more people should know about it.

I didn't like Oehms Sonic Speed (Power Wedges), it was the most dead-feeling, uninteresting string I've played ever.

I play ALu Pearl 1.25 quite a bit in my Blade and it plays really well. i usually get 4-6 hours out of it before it is done. I can’t really say anything negative about its playability during that period. Slightly crisp with plus control and spin. For $60 a reel, one of the best deals out there IMO.

Great work Konstantinos. I've been encouraging Tennis Nerd to review Oehms for a while now. Hopefully this might encourage him to do a video
I'm the first to say that I don't see it being a very durable string for more top-spin hitters than me or higher level players, but I'd be more than happy to play with it for the rest of my life. I string my own rackets, it does everything very well for me, no-brainer. It's that simple. It's one of these strings that fuels my inner flame of keep trying differents strings and find out about other "hidden gems" out there.

Agreed. i am a big fan of ALU Pearl Rough and play it often, It does everything well, but it does not last long for me. I typically get 4 hours before it bags out, which is maybe an hour or two earlier than most other strings for me. However, I string my own frames and I don’t see the it as an issue. At $60 a reel it is a great value and even more so for others if they get more life out of it. Definitely a hidden gem the I keep coming back to,

Upon these, the thing has a "character".

I'm pretty confident I can recognize it in a blind-test now, if someone strung my Elevate with it and gave it to me to hit without taking a look on the stringbed. Can't say the same for several other strings.

I'm out of Oehms strings now, but I'll happily pay out of my own pocket to get a couple reels, when my stock gets depleted.

Looks like a new Oehms tennis string has been released "Elite Touch". Anyone has tried it?
oehms-elite-touch.jpg

Tried it yesterday in a 2-hour training session with my Vcore 98 '23, alongside APR 1.23 in an Ezone 98 '22.

Elite Touch:

My usual tension for the VC98 is 23/22 kg. However, after the first pull, I adjusted the tension to 24/23 because this string is incredibly stretchy (similar to Isospeed Baseline). I let it sit for around 24 hours, and to my surprise, there was very minimal tension loss.
The surface feels interesting—glossy but slightly rubbery. It's difficult to describe. I haven't strung Isospeed Cream or similar rubbery strings before, so Hexa Elite Touch was something new for me. I can only assume that Cream or something similar might feel the same. It looks like a stiff string, similar to Confidential, with sharp edges, yet it's one of the stretchiest strings I've strung.
While stringing the crosses, they left marks on the mains, similar to when I string Tru Pro Tour Status. After 24 hours, there was minimal tension drop, and the first hour of the session felt wonderful.
The spin was well above average, and while stringing, I thought this would turn the VC98 into a rocket launcher, but it didn't. Instead, it offered very controlled, spin-friendly, well-balanced, and comfortable play.
I understand that feel is subjective, but for me, drop shots and drop volleys felt very connected and worked well. Directional control was also very good. This is, in my opinion, a well-rounded, comfortable string.
However, for those who prioritize snapback above everything else, the snapback was gone midway through the session, and the mains were notched by 20%.
But the playability didn't change significant.
I'm going to hit a second session with the same string job.
Remember, this was a short training session with a bit of point play against a lower level training partner and no serves. So, I would call this "First Impressions."

Price: €51.95 (currently discounted) for 200m.
If you string your own racquets and love playing with fresh string jobs, it's a no-brainer.
However, if you're one of those who restring their racquets with full bed poly in a year as often as you play each week, forget it.

And forget the rule or play with nylon instead.

P.S.: After a full training session with the EZ98 and APR, and some point play yesterday, I decided to try this setup in my next matches. This setup works so well.
I don't know why I didn't continue using it after trying it at the beginning of last winter season. I was happy with it but switched to other strings. Sometimes, as a Stringaholic, you skip a perfect match.

I'd derscibe Alu Pearl Rough as "gummy". Reading the product discription, I'd guess Elite Touch is a bit softer, so "jelly" maybe.

Yesterday and today I played the Isospeed Black Fire S (6-sided) with a Blade v5 16x19. The most stretchy poly I've ever strung. I've also been playing it with a Yonex DR98. Too powerful for me and less top-spin friendly than Alu Pearl Rough 1.25 and the identicals Dyreex Black Edge/Kirschbaum XPlosive Speed.

Man, these guys here play with the same string forever. That's why most of them have arm issues. I'm trying getting them into restringing more often. They have already started feeling the difference of a fresh stringjob! (I know Mayami Tour Hex holds excellent playability, but keeping it on your racket for more than 2 months playing 3 times a week is just too much).

Oehms Alu Pearl Rough 1.25 is my favorite string so far. As for Elite Touch, I don't know when I'm gonna try it, as I've got plenty of other strings left before I have to buy something. When time comes to buy some reels for my own use and string for others, Alu Pearl Rough 1.25 is a no-brainer.

Just thought I'd give an update on my experience with Elite Touch.
It's bloody fantastic!

I had been using APR and ordered another reel and thought I'd get some Elite Touch at the same time. Elite touch is much softer (APR isn't uncomfortable) and has a better feel. I did want to cut it out after about 8 sets, but I'm pretty picky.

As a stringer, it's probably going to be my new string of choice for my personal racquets. I don't know if I will offer it to customers though as the playability duration isn't amazing.

Comments about durability are welcomed by recreational players who will not be using the same can of balls for more than 4 1.5 sessions of straight baseline hitting (that's my max) and who restring at least once every 1.5 months.
