This is about who you root for, not who you think is the best player, though of course the two are not mutually exclusive. Putting down my bet now that despite this poll asking about favorites, more players will be put down than praised. :D

I root for FAA, but I think that the ones that will be fighting for the big titles are Alcaraz, Rune, and Sinner.

Rooting for my countryman Ruud, but Alcaraz has the most exciting game for my taste.
FAA has great athleticism and a very nice game, but his level is too inconsistent for now.

This is a tough call because I like most of them...

Medvedev -- Clearly struggling the past 12 months, but also clearly a step above everyone else of his generation (on hard courts) when at his best. Also hilarious.

Berrettini -- I mean he seems like a nice guy.

Rublev -- His name is what made me a fan, and though his game and attitude has kind of turned me off him over the years, I still think his forehand is a beauty, and he also seems like a really nice guy, and he seems to have matured from what little of him we've seen this year.

Felix -- ANOTHER ONE WHO SEEMS TO BE A NICE GUY. Bit a wimp, definitely needs some eye of the tiger in him, but fun to watch play, someone who seems to be aware of the improvements he needs to make. Hope he can make them.

Sinner -- Never really liked him before, but since he battered Alcaraz at Wimbledon I have totally started to turn around on him. Hope he toughens up.

Rune -- So fun to watch when playing well. When things were not going well for him against Rublev we saw none of the tantrums he'd show on court last year when things went badly, so that's a big step in the right direction. What he did to Novak in Paris cannot be downplayed. He has massive upside.

Alcaraz -- Turns watching tennis into a fncking party. Makes the game fun again. He's had way too many injury niggles the last 6 months, and I hope they will not continue to derail him.

Alcaraz probably my favourite if I had to single one out, Musetti should definitely be on here too as I refuse to give up on him. Still hoping Coric will find some consistency too.

Honestly, I don't even mind Zverev, his inability to contain his ego is just kind of offputting.

Shout out to Tsitsipas and Shapovalov, who can be bags of fun to watch play, but whose general demeanor and attitude just kind of puts me way the hell off.

I don’t like watching Zverev and Medvedev, but otherwise watch all of them. I don’t particularly root for any of them as I still like to see the Big 2 sharing all the big trophies between them. The young generation can wait for their share of the spoils.

I am ready to sink with the tripulation of the nuclear warship Sinner. It was an honor, folks. May the sea have our souls.

Alcaraz from that list, second, Tsitsipas.

Shapo is the one I'll always have a soft spot for, it's a shame he doesn't seem to be able to overcome his hilarious lack of tennis IQ, fun to watch.

Mussetti I'm still having high hopes for. He's inconsistent but has time to put his act together.

No Korda? Him in Rune are my picks, but I like watching Sinner and Alcaraz also. Also liked watching Zverev before injury

The poll list is meant to be a combination of players who have performed strongly in the past few years and will also likely be strong the next few years while excluding Djokovic and Nadal. Thus, no Thiem. Korda almost makes it, but is still less proven than anyone on this list.

Tennis wise, Rune, Stef and Alcaraz.

Rune and Stef are obnoxious people, albeit in quite different ways, but I do like their tennis. Alcaraz I'm undecided on a personality level but his tennis can be a delight, when he's not smacking balls into the net.

On a personality level I really like Rublev and Medvedev. Rublev's a big softy whose self directed rage buildups, followed by dejected looking acceptance*, I very much sympathise with (it's pretty similiar to how I would get when I was playing a certain online game to a high competitive level 20 odd years ago, though I only genuinely hurt a mouse once). Medvedev's "I know fine well I could be making a lot of money in investment banking so none of this really matters" attitude amuses me greatly.

FAA and Sinner seem like nice people but their bish, bosh, bash, hands made of concrete blocks tennis is boring as all hell most of time. Both of them I was following closely around the time they started making the main draw of events regularly and both of them I got bored of well before they made the top ten.

Zverev. Lol.

Berretini is just kinda there, as is Ruud.

* anyone who's seen the videos of Hugh Laurie's wonderful comedic ability to sell having been hit, Rublev looks like that a lot.
