Official Angell TC97 Thread

Since the new TC97 18x20 is coming out, in addition to, 16x19 that is already available, would be nice to have a separate thread, I think, to be home for the users of these awesome racquets. I personally started with TC97 unstrung 310g 9HL 27.25" 16x19 but noticed due to the extended length was getting a sore elbow. Bought another one eventually and then had @Geoff customize them both to 27" standard length, 315g unstrung 10HL (elbow issue went away). Ive never played better tennis than with these racquets. Currently playing w cyclone 17 55/53 which is okay (have to finish the reel) and tried gut/poly hybrid but they don't last very long in Florida heat/humidity in combination w clay courts. Anyway can't wait to hear comparisons between 16x19 and 18x20 TC97s.

Hello @skfx . Great news about your elbow! I agree about the clay and humidity being a killer on gut/poly hybrid!

It would be good to actually keep all Angell related discussion on the Angell official thread. We have all been using it for a long time and add, compare, collected tons of useful information and view points.

i see that point aswell... but i also think there is some worth in having a separate tc97 thread as it is a box beam not a D beam like the other Angells... it will play differently.

I think as Angell frames' popularity is growing it will need separate threads as more people would be picking specific models for themselves ... You wouldnt want to have just Wilson or Babolat threads with all their models in one thread when you are just interested in one particular one ;)

Angell frames are very similar and slight tweaks based on head size. TC97 only one that is different. Anyway, totally fine you want the thread, i get it
