Following Bab’s release schedule, August-October 2022, however with supply chain problems it could be January 2023.

Oh it's still A YEAR away?

Seems to me that have more open string pattern. Not as like on PAVS (6 center mains) but fairly open. I’ll try to get it next week, for a demo!

Thanks for posting the pics. The pattern does look a bit open in the pics, but its tough to tell. Hopefully it's not too much. Looking forward to your demo thoughts. I am real interested in how the frame feels compared to the super muted Pure Strikes. Hoping for a more plush, classic feel.

In the local shop told me that the release is planned for Feb 2022.
I know for the supply chain problems (at least to EU), but there is a forecast that it’s going to be better until end of March 22. Only problem is that prices will/already have, go UP! Very expensive shipping…

So it seems that this isn’t really a pure strike. From the pics it looks like they used an elliptical beam all the way around. There is no box beam. For me the whole allure of the strike is that box beam

Yeah it's interesting. Not sure what to think about this one yet. One one hand, old school box beams can be insanely low powered (Pro staff 6.1 95 BLX) even though they feel awesome.

On the other hand, Im personally glad it's not a Pure strike because I don't like the super muted feel of those new versions.

Babo is the only company that can pull off power in a box beam. i use the 100 modded to 11.4 oz and 3.2 pts hl. its anything but muted imo. solid crisp . plenty of power. direct feedback on contact. but the box beam is what gives this line its dna. the shape of the grip is unique as well because of the box beam. its got a more spuare feel to it than the other lines. so this one wont have that. there is something special about the feel of the box beam .. its so addicting. gives the feeling of precision when playing.

I don't know, the 16x19 V3 was way too muted for my tastes. Maybe this VS will have what Im looking for.

So maybe I’m confused is it box beamed or no? I can see the throat isn’t but looking at the pictures the hoop looks like it is. Any other frames that have a partial box beam similar to this? How do they play?

As a former pure storm user, this racquet and the specs look great. I haven't been keeping up with the pure strike VS line, is there a tour model coming too?

Preface this with: I am currently hitting an 18x20 Blade V8 with poly/syngut hybrid and leather grip.

It was strung with a stiffer poly and a lower tension then I would prefer and was still really nice.

The lower swing weight didn’t impact the stability and only increased the maneuverability to allow me to make solid contact with heavy deep balls I had less time on as compared to the Blade. Did not seem to have a negative impact at the net, just easier to get around.

The guy I hit with said my ball had more pace, depth and spin then balls off my Blade. We’ve hit pretty often so I trust his judgement.

Didn’t serve or volley much, but the sniff test was pretty solid.

Going to give it another go later this week. But overall, I am really impressed. Was scared initially by the lower SW but didn’t seem to impact my game. It also looks bad ass, and the pre-wrapped leather speaks my love language.

Well looks like the price of the Pure Aero VS went up $20. Would expect the new strike VS to be $269 a piece now as well. Getting criminal…

Played a few sets with it tonight. Was still really in love on the ground strokes. Didn’t feel any lost of stability compared to my Blade at the net.

The real win… my serve. Hit my spots really easily and found a lot of extra free pace.

Plan to give it another hit this week, but there are lots of things that I am getting out of this frame that I was not with the blade, and don’t feel like I’ve lost anything.

From what I have heard price will be likely $279 each.

I am usually a 3/8 guy on Wilson, but measured the 1/4 grip I’ve been hitting and it’s the same circumference as the Wilson, both with over wraps.

Anyone could provide some comparisons/differences with the Vcore 95? The string pattern and a slightly(?) bigger head size is making it quite exciting

Seems like a massively underpowered racquet.. dont know if this is good or bad though.

think this is one that we'll just have to wait and see if it's due to the lower sw or if it's underpowered even with some weight in the hoop. Early reviews dont sound promising

Yeah , tbh i don't understand what this racquet is trying to achieve. I mean each type of racquet has to fit a certain type of player whether he is an aggresive baseliner , a counterpuncher , S&V player etc etc.

At that price won't sell, people are struggling to pay $229 in the US and are asking for discounts. Same as poor sales of the Aero VS...

I think it's trying to be a softer Pure Aero VS... maybe?

i think a sub-65 RA babolat will always be welcome. it's just a matter of it'll be closer to the pure control tour or the pure control ltd from a couple generations ago. i'll still try it regardless to see for myself.

I’ve had no trouble producing power even with a full bed of poly. I have long fast stokes off both wings and have not been at any loss of power. I do think people with shorter more compact stokes will struggle. Really don’t feel like the lower SW has had a negative impact on my game/the experience with the racket.

This Bab is for players who want a control racket they can customize to their specs; same market demographic as the VCP 97, Dunlop CX200 Tour, Wilson Ultra Pro, etc. I think they should’ve targeted a 320+ SW pero que será será lol

At $350 strung WITH synthetic after tax in Cal, the only way to buy this would be that when you test it and pufff IS A MAGIC WAND WITH SUPERPOWERS !!!!

And with Yonex QC like... I have a hard time believing it would be. :giggle: Haven't heard that from testers
