Actually I was wrong. sentinel isn't spiritually enlightened at all. What happened was that his friends and family ordered a cake with 120 engraved on it, but the baker thought it was a mistake since he had never seen such a request in his life and he did not want to embarrass everyone by inquiring, so he quietly ignored the 1.

Taking sannyasa does not actually mean being spirituality enlightened so I actually loved your first theory. The second one is just sloppy work of the baker. The baker could be @stringertom though. The bigger question is who ate the cake.
