oh yeah I forgot the most important one Nationals this weekend in Midland
You from Newk's?
I am. Is it the Byran/College station zat #2?
Yea thats it. Once they get the draws out tell me which one you're in .
newks? no way I dont I dont get drunk I dont get tatoos and don't drugs
so no I dont go to newks!
Elite TNT man were real players.
Heh, I think you're confusing them with the rest of the high school-age kids. I know a few kids there and haven't really heard anything of this sort but I do remember them saying that the place is pretty crummy in terms of dorms and stuff.
How many Houston juniors do we have? What levels are we all?
i'm in 16's red draw.
what draw are you in?
I'm in 16's white. I'm 5 seed.
oh well Ill see ya there. Im 6 seed in mine btw.
I don't play until 10:30. Good luck with your match. Where are you staying in Bryan?
im in 16 champs...woo lol im from the houston area, katy to be exact
I play at 9:30 and I'm not sure what hotel i'm staying in and I dont know if its in Bryan or College Station. my parents did all that stuff.
I'm staying with my grandparents, so its free. And they're country club is right down the street and it has some killer steaks.
How'd you do in the tournament tenniskid?
i won consilation. how bout you?
Nice how many points do you get? I lost in the quarters to the 3 seed 6-4 6-0. I played so bad, I could have beaten him but things weren't going my way. He ended up winning the tournament, so I think I could have done that but I just wasn't there mentally.
thats how I am every single tournament. I got 16 points so now I have 48. Thats not too bad, one semifinals and 2 con. finals. how many points do you have now?
48 too. 2 semis and 2 quarters.
Surprised I'm the first from San Antonio
ZAT Level, although I've never played a ZAT. Fairly confident I could compete at the high champs, though. Got to the semis in my district tournament. I play for Stevens HS.
im a 16 super and i just aged up and i sucked up the 1st couple tournaments so im still in C draw.
who all played sectionals?
and whos playing the san antonio mz?
I just made supers about a half year ago.
topspinjm whats ur name?
or if u dont wanna give it out whats ur initials?
i might know you....
yeahh and in ur sig i doubt ur sponsoredddd
I play 18 ZAT's in the Tyler regional. Not having much luck so far.
it's not a full i just get a preferred player package.
haha yeahh sorry i read about that later about how a champ got a preferred player package.. i was like yeaaa.....
so whats ur name the person that lives in the woodlands?
is anyone playing in the san antonio thousand oak tournament next weekend?
im the guy who has the prefered player package from dunlop and i am from the woodlands.
I played a tournament in Austin this weekend. It was an open and I played like crap...so I'm not happy about that. Oh yea I won my Zat last weekend so I'm in champs now.
hey guys, i am now in 16 zats, i am aging up next month but i want to get an early start because the next champs is in corpus and i dont want to go all that way. Plus i have a concert that weekend soo... I will get an early start on 16 zats. Hey MHS, is it a big upgrade from 14 champs? Are they much better? I think the next tournament i play in will be in college station/ bryan.
I only played one tourny in 14 champs and it wasn't a major zone so I can't really tell, and I haven't played any 16 major zones yet. I've played one 14 unsanctioned champ and 1 16 unsanctioned champ and I'd say the 16's is a higher level. More power, control, and variety. I don't know for sure though because I haven't played in a major zone. Sorry I couldn't help much.
well is it a big upgrade from 14 champs to 16's. If i won a zat 14's would i go good in 16 zats.
it depends on how well you did in champs. since you didn't have enough points to age up into champs you'll probably struggle for a little bit.
i think if i play my next champs i have a good shot at winning the first 2 or 3 matches.
If you won a 14 zat and played champ level for a while it probably won't take you long to make it back up. I won my 5th 16 zat. It might take you a while to get back into the groove of playing the pusher types of players that are common in zats.
anyone playing in the College Station ZAT?
I need to join the ZAT program, but college.. =/..
I actually don't play much USTA in the texas section considering my USTA membership and ranking is in the Southern section (#141 g18s):Arkansas district (#4 g18s), but I do live in Texas and keep up with the Texas USTA since I play high school tennis in Texas. I usually try to play a couple of open tournaments in Texas to get some good match play experiance in.
Is anyone on here from east texas?
tenniskids--i went to a&m tennis camp session 4 too...what group were you in? i was in the grey group..
I was in the white group, but I should have been in gray. At the time I signed up for the camp I was on JV, so they started me out in maroon. And I didnt have enough time to move up fast enough. But my friend was in gray. Robert Stevens? do you know him?
the name rings a bell i just can't put a face with it.
yeah every year i start out way undergrouped because i don't have a Texas section ranking and so they just assume I'm not a tournament player and put me in a non-tournament-player group. I had to work my way up from white this year too...and was still on the lower side of the grey group although I went undefeated all week.
where are you from?
and does everyone on here play high school tennis?? if so where at? and how far have you gotten out of district?
This past year was my first time to win regionals and go to state in singles. I had the stomach virus at state and lost first round 7-5 7-6 :/ so I'm definately ready to go back next year and get past the quarters.
he's the guy with really poofy hair. oh well... I'm from Tyler. And I play varsity on my high school team. And we go to regionals every year and state occasionally.
ok i'm pretty sure i know who you're talking about now. what school do you go to? we play a lot of tyler/longview area schools. i'm from texarkana.
Robert E. Lee
Ooh ok...well I've never actually played yall becaues were a 3A school. Do yall ever play Texas High? I practice with some of the guys on that team.
yeah I think we did last year. I dont know bout this year
