Ok he has diabetes. He also had rich parents who paid for tennis education and he grew to be 6'6. So not sure why we should feel sorry, his life circumstances have clearly been very fortunate, all things considered.
Who the f*ck ever asked you for sympathy??
And you think having rich parents paying for your tennis education and being 6'6" tall will make you a top 3 player in the world?? :-D:-D

Type 1 diabetes? That's injections needed then, meaning a lack of natural insulin in his body. That's much rarer than Type 2 diabetes, which requires tablets when the natural insulin in your body is not doing its proper job. Only around 8% of people with diabetes have Type 1.

Do you know US armed forces will not take diabetics? Those that develop diabetes are pulled from field.
Off-hand it seems discriminatory, but if consider that in a battle you can't call for a timeout / medical break / etc., I can see why the military branches would exclude diabetic persons. I'm sure they'd be welcomed for employment in government organizations outside of the military.

Most people with type II diabetes need injections as well. In fact, some pre-diabetics require Metformin or insulin injections.

It’s type 2 diabetes in which you speak of. Type 1 diabetes is chronic condition that can start in childhood or later, basically your pancreas stops producing insulin.

I remember watching Biggest Loser and some of those contestants got rid of diabetes through losing weight etc

Type 1 is often hereditary. A former co-worker of mine had Type 1 from childhood and his father had it too. Don't know if either of Zverev's parents have it.
Type 2 can be hereditary too. That specific type is sometimes referred to as type 1 1/2.

It is possible for people diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes to go into remission by modifying certain aspects of their lifestyle (eg. attaining a healthy weight, modifying diet)

But there is no cure for Type 2 Diabetes at this point. Any person in remission still has the disease and it can come back.
