Completely amazing. Unreal. And that it was so precise, it just shows a slice of Federer's thought process. As he was running back, making the decision already to hit between the legs shot, and visualize where he wanted it to go in relation to Djokovic's approximate location taking into the fact his opponent would still be moving. Just amazing. Of course, between the legs shot making it has been done before to win points, but no matter who it is or where it happens, it is still prima.

That and the fact that NYC crowds are the best in the world.

What are you talking about? That between the legs shot was hit even harder than a normal forehand passing shot. Djokovic had NO CHANCE.

I knew someone would mis-understand what I was saying.

Believe me, I'm as big a Fed fan as anyone... I'm just saying to Djoko, Stand ready... that is all.
If you get beat you get beat, but get passed standing ready.

I think Djokovic thought Fed wasn't gonna get it.

Or maybe he was standing there, wondering if he really could make it.

He was about to lose anyway, so what the hey, ya know?

yeah, it's like the other time when federer was approaching the net and the guy this the ball to his feet and federer hit it the ball under his legs. it's not so much that he wasn't "ready," it was more like he was shocked. i mean really, he fought well, but what can you do?
just like that rally he had with djokovic at the net and djokovic submitted to him, what can you do man?
federer is amazing, that's just it.

I was watching it while I was at a friends house but I had to help them with something and I heard the crowd go nuts so I ran back to the TV and saw the replay. Sick!

I have a hard time believing Fed actually thought about how to angle the ball crosscourt and then did it, but that's exactly what he did
