Pure aero. I’m crazy, I know. Besides I do it for fun every now and then, switching to it on slow balls from my two handed. Am I out of the club now?

Started out on a Bancroft wooden racquet... Of course I have a one hander!!!

My forehand is bigger but I make more errors with it. My backhand is more consistent. I come over the top with the backhand and can place it and use it to setup my forehand. Will slice backhands back as well in particular when I do not move my feet and get to the ball early enough.

I would be interested in knowing what specs some people are using? I've always used a heavy racket. I'm actually trying to convert to a DHBH in an effort to be more aggressive on returns. With the double harder I find it harder to plow through the ball with a more headlight stick, but prefer a more headlight balance with the OHBH. Any one else like this?
My wrist movement should be in sync with the rest of the body. Otherwise I cant time the shot. It is not a particular balance or weight or swing weight. I can play with wide variety of specs. Its how the racket goes into the shot. On practice I keep adding small weights to my frame until it clicks. As a final adjustment I move two pieces of lead about 1g combined up or down the frame until it starts feeling perfect.

Mostly CX200+, but I prefer 18 x 20 so I ordered a 27,5 inch CX200 tour yesterday.

The OHBH is my favorite stroke, I can hit it with topspin, flat or slice, although I am sometimes late / under pressure and then I use both hands. I play a lot of doubles and one of the strokes I am always looking forward to is a devensive lob from the opponents which I can run around my forehand and go for an attacking topspin lob, that feels very satisfying when executed well. Or inside out high pace topspin backhand rally's, also really enjoying that in such a way I don't give anymore if I win or loose the point, not very smart, but Iove it.

Tfight 315 XTC Ltd. 18x20 with a leather grip, 2 OGs, plus 6 gm lead tape at the top of the bevels. Nothing on the hoop. Static weight ~361 gm.

Also, the latest standard Pro Staff 97 (all black, v11) with the same grip treatment and on the hoop about 3 grams a side just next to the PWS bump. Static weight ~356 gm (if I remember correctly).

Just an absolute hammer off of both sides. Leaded up to my specs, with enough at 3 and 9 for stability, it’s a rocket launcher with enough flex to hit slices so nasty you’ll want to apologize to the guy across from the net.

DTL drill. Mostly backhands

Nice strikes.

Comments: for my money: you don't turn your shoulder down/across quite enough, and from this one video, it looks like you keep really upright.

(disclaimer: iPhone selfie clips have funny parallax so I could be seeing things worse than they are #grainofsalt .)

I look at how Stan / RF / Thiem's shoulder and knee angles are before the racquet starts moving forward. That's my goal.

p.s. thumbs up for the *singles sticks* <way to go>

I wish I could. Perhaps for cross court I turn more. Hitting DTL against a forehand of a guy who is generally better than me put me on defense. Out of a 100 shots I may be get 15 where I am not experiencing time deficit.
But this is the beauty of the drill. Afterwards game seems so easy.

On the other topic - when you hit DTL doesn't swing path get more vertical in general ?

If I look different at the peak of my takeaway between DTL/CC/DTM, then I'm toast. If anything, I "bend" toward the impact point *more* when I'm going to execute a DTL, since you move the strike time point later and want to direct the ball to your left (if it's a CC/DTM redirect).

Tennis is hard :-D

Opposite here. I delay contact on DTL and keep myself upright, more weight on left foot. I need extra spin potential to take the net out of consideration and focus mostly on the directional control

Noticed that i hit better bh when hitting with smaller head frame. So i often training with Kneissl WS Pro/Adidas GTX Pro-T or PS 85/Donnay CGX-25/GTX-25.

Do you like Wilson/Babolat over Angell? Seems strange to me, it's not so many sticks that go by par with Angell.
