Let's go Card. This year's tournament looks like best ever. Arizona has a strong team this year which will make it interesting. But this time on neutral site, Card should prevail.

If form prevails, it will be Arizona vs the winner of Stanford and USC. And in the women’s tournament it’ll be interesting to follow the Stanford-UCLA match (if it plays out) because their regular season dual match was canceled due to Covid
Looks like only the Final will be televised on Pac 12 network. This is travesty

That’s so bad that they are not properly covering the event. All the PAC-12 matches were live streamed during the season but for some reason not the Ojai event. What about live scoring ? Is that available?

Yes Live scoring is available at the Pac-12 website

The only LiveStats I have found were a miserable YouTube link that is not a big enough screen to show all the scores at once.

Does anyone have anything better?

Search PAC 12 2022 Tennis tournament then live scoring tab . Not sure if that’s the one you saw. not great but does show the live scores point by point.

Yes, that is the crummy YouTube link that I talked about. I was watching a match for a while and the top 2 courts had old doubles scores shown, while the other 4 courts showed singles positions 3-6 that were almost finished with the first sets. #3 doubles and #1 and #2 singles were not visible at the time. Pathetic.

There's no words to describe the utterly pathetic coverage of pac-12 championship. It's a step above using pigeons to send out news about the score, but barely.

While there's no excuse for the poor live scoring, television or streaming coverage is a little tougher given the venue. The Pac-12 championships are not played at a college tennis complex or a place like Lake Nona. They are played at Libby Park, a public park in a very small town. The courts are not in row but in groups of two. Courts 1 & 2 have courts 3 & 4 behind them at 'Upper Libby'. Courts 5 & 6 are down in what is called 'Lower Libby'. From Upper Libby you have walk across the bike/horse path, past the old town jail, to the courts at Lower Libby. So logistics are a bit tricky.

The tournament has a very rich history. It began in 1893 and is therefore one of the oldest tournaments in the US. Besides the Pac-12 there are Men's and Women's Open events with Prize money, Independent College championships, DIII College championships, high school and junior events. Next to court 1 is a 'Wall of Fame' that lists 91 players who have played the event and gone on to win a singles or doubles Grand Slam tournament. The names go back to players like Bill Tilden, Bobby Riggs, Jack Kramer, Pancho Gonzalez, Tony Trabert, Stan Smith, Arthur Ashe, Jimmy Connors, Maureen Connolly, Billie Jean King, up to names like John McEnroe, Pete Sampras, Michael Chang, and the Bryan Bros. Tradition is very important. Every afternoon they have a tea service where women in long dresses serve free tea out of golden urns in bone china cups and cookies, that goes back to 1800's.

So, while the locale may not be best suited for live streaming, the tradition and the quaintness of town make it special. For anyone who has been lucky enough to attend, especially Saturday evening when the Pac-12 men's finals are played, the atmosphere is absolutely electric. The place is packed with screaming fans. While it may not be an ideal locale for fans in the Mid West or East Coast to watch online it is amazing to see in person. I hope it never leaves. I look forward to being there this weekend for Pac-12 finals and the finals of the other events on Sunday.

But I will admit, there's no excuse for the poor live scoring. That seems to be the fault of the Pac-12.

Appreciate this very interesting backdrop!

Is there a way to watch? From what I see only the Men's final is being aired tomorrow, on Pac-12 network.

Yes, no one who has followed this board for the last several years is at all surprised that the Stanford men lost. Fedace/Nostradamus will pretend he is but deep down even he knew they had no chance. I have said many times before that Stanford should just have Women's coach Lele Forood coach both the men's and women's teams. The women's team regularly over-achieves while the men regularly badly under-achieve.

I can't wait to read Fedace/Nostradamus' litany of imaginary injuries the team had this time.

Also considering how well Yepifanova has been playing of late it would be a good idea to flip Her and Ma at 1 & 2 just to give Ma a breather and get her back on track

Not gonna happen. They’ll look for a replacement. No major D1 programs have the men and women under the same coach. But I get your drift

I was being sarcastic...
But Forood does a great job preparing her team for the big matches while the men crumble.

Great win for Stanford women ! Key factors in the reversal of the loss to ASU in the PAC 12 match a few weeks ago were Ma and Blake beating players they lost to that day ,Ma winning 3 and 4 , Blake winning 0 and 0.

This bodes well for NCAAs. They have the potential to sneak up on better teams. Remember the win over Texas earlier this year. Solid work in the trenches too

so I was waiting all week till the weekend to be able to watch PAC12 championships - and all I get now is a 5 minute sneak preview because I do not have PAC12 network? Great way to make college tennis popular...... NOT.

All right... Fery is back and dominating. Great sign with NCAA championships coming up. Stanford should be the favorite to win the title this year
