Ojai Tournament: Sam Querrey #1 seed!

Some of these guys are not that great. I'm not trying to brag, but I have beaten Kallim Stewart and Clint Bowles and I only play #5 for my team. They are not that special. The best player I have played in a while was Michael McClune. He hits hard, clean, and accurately. Houston Barrick is pretty good, but certainly should not be quite that high.

Well, aren't you older than they are since you're playing in college and they're still in HS? You're right about McClune though; he's playing ITF and Futures and holding his own.

That's pretty amazing. D-1 is mad deep.

Happy belated birthday. Did you go to HS on the East coast or West coast? The guys you mentioned are all from California so you must have played them in some national tournaments?

Thanks.

I am from South Carolina.

Yes, I went around the country to play in way too many national tournaments. It was fun to travel, though.

You ever played Tim Smyczek? That kid's small but real quick and consistent. He beat a couple former DivI guys at a Futures tourney here last year.
