Ok, this is it: Babolat PCZ vs Head i.Tour...

Virgilio

Semi-Pro
...in 2 days gotta buy my racket finally, since I sold my old Legacy 660. So I am in the final round between a Babolat (Pure Control Zylon) and a Head (i.Tour). Which of the two will give me more power on serves, more control overall, and best sliced backhands?

Also, I didn't find too comfortable with head grips. 3 seems too small and 4 too big...since Babolat seems slightly bigger (3 seems like a 3 1/2), will this help me?

Which is better on the net?

Which of the 2 has a bigger sweet spot?

Come on guys, anyone who reads this please drop a note or something that could help me finally choose between the two. MANY THANKS !!!

The bab will probably have more power, but it is extremely stiff and offers little feel. Also more difficult to volley with because of the lack of feel on these rackets. The Head will offer more control and feel. If it were me, and I couldn't demo, I'd choose the Head. It will give good power, but still offer a pretty traditional feel and comfort, especially since you're coming from a Head racket. The Bab will require a major readjustment.

Can't speak for the Bab PC Zylon, but I gave thought to this racquet in the past. Comments onthis board did not seem too favorable. Seems to me if you are using a Babolat, you should stick with the Pure Drive or the Pure Control & avoid the Zylon models. I use the Head iTour(for 2 years) after a demo of about 10 racquets. It gives a solid feel and has a blend of power and control. It does not excel in any 1 area but also doesn't have any weaknesses for me(4.0 all courter trying to improve net game). It is very maneuverable and gives a consistent response. Decent power and nice feel. I highly recommend the iTour
