I remember being a little boy and my grandfather who first started me playing gave me this old book to read that described every stroke and tactic and such from a beginner point of view, but the very first chapter was about etiquette.
It covered all kinds of things like closing the gate after you walk on the court, returning balls hit by adjacent courts, not asking better players to play, not making undue noise, or cheering for yourself, sportsmanship, etc.
Is there a pdf or website with all those bygone values listed.
I think a lot of these park players could stand to read how the game was meant to be played.
