Older Vcores similar to Percept? Help me pick

Semi-Pro
Hello, I recently tried the Percept 97 and 100 for a few hours and they're so much fun!
I'm coming from 3 years of the Prince 100p and a 10+ years of POG (tried pretty much every generation since the 4 stripe). I'm looking to mess around with the Vcore Pros for fun. I almost bought a Percept 100D, but the cracking issues scared me away.

What rackets should I demo that is similar in specs to the Percept 100/100D, specifically the myriads of Vcore/Vcore Pro models? I want to go down in swingweight specifcally, but I didn't know I can have this much fun with a more control stick vs my 100p. I'm a bit picky and fond of Wilson, Prince, and wanting to try Yonex. I'm not looking at other brands really. My buddy is heavily trying to get me to try Diadem. Thanks in advance fellow racket nerds.

I am a long time user of Wilson and Yonex, but lately also Dunlop. Diadem is a new line with limited frames. I would skip these unless you really like the spec and the paint job. Are you trying to stick with more densely strung patterns? For me the flex and string pattern are most important, then head size. But pretty much modern frames are 95-100 these days so quite a lot of choices among different manufacturers. First nail down the attributes you want in a frame by priority. Then tell us about your skill level and objectives.

The average of frame specs is probably 62-65ra in flex and 98-100 in size so just about anyone can play with any frame in these ranges. Also note string material and tension influence playing characteristics a lot.

Stage Vcore pro 97 2018 (dragon skin paintjob) are pretty sweet, but not very easy to find in good condition.

Edit: only now saw you were looking at 100 inch, and only maybe Yonex. So the above probably isn’t for you then

Thanks, will look into that frame! I really don't mind a smaller frame, but I'm getting older now. I don't play tournaments or anything. I used the 4 stripe 93 for a long time.

I don't mind a denser string pattern. I played with the 4 stripe 14x18 for a long time. I didn't know much about control/spin rackets back in the day. I've been adding flatter shots to my game and it's addicting. I tried a Clash for a bit but it didn't offer anything more than my 100p. The 100p has a 328 swingweight and the flex is 59. I demoed the Percept 100 with the 16x19, but was about to pull the trigger on the 100D due to all the praises. Lower swingweight than my 100p is the main attribute I'm after, probably 315-320 at most. I guess it falls into a tweener racket. I never hit harder than I have until I played with the Percept 100, but damn, so many stories about it cracking at the throat, I'll have to wait until the next iteration to try. I'm a strong 4.0 right now and just enjoy being on the court and running around. Life's too short to stick to one frame.

There was an old Vcore Duel with 100 sq. inch head. Need to look it up.

Edit: Vcore Duel G 100

Recently acquired a pair of those, moving to them from a pair of Vcore Pro 97 (green + gold pj).

I haven't had the chance to hit with them yet but on paper specs alone I think this is exactly what OP is looking for. Especially due to the 16x20 string pattern, nice compromise between both worlds.

Someone local is selling 3 of those Dual G for $60 each. I ended up with a 2021 Yonex Vcore 100 (retro purple/green one) after going down the rabbit hole of reading about it.
