This thread will serve forever as a warning to those who question the quality of Dunlop balls.
Please for the love of god, DUNLOP, STOP MAKING BALLS!!!
rant on!
That is all
Dunlop Championship balls are mediocre, but their Grand Prix balls keep their felt and pressure longer than any other ball on the market. A TW best-seller!

Don't forget Dunlop also makes Slazenger balls too, the ball of Wimbledon. The Ultra-viz play alot like the Grand Prixs. I've been hitting with them awhile and I've got a can of Prixs so I'll see which I like better. So far, I'm liking the Ultra-viz but I'll pop open the can of Prixs tonight to get a better comparison
The Ultra-viz play very fast and spinny, and feel kinda hard off the string bed, right out of the can but after they loosen up abit, they feel nice and seem very durable. Alot like how the Prix play
Did not know that...
DUNLOP???? heck those are the only balls we use if possible. dunlop has been making balls before anyone else does. bought a box of wilsons lately and every single tube yields dead balls but i'm not about to tell wilson to stop making balls.
I have used all sorts of tennis balls and think Dunlop Grand Prix are the best, however I have been using Wilson X-Duty (the cheap ones) for 20 years and have never, ever had a dead ball. Maybe the box itself had some issue and you should have contacted Wilson.
We could have if we wanted too but at point of sale then after (bought them as an emergency replacement at sports authority as the box of dunlops hasn't arrived on the mail on time) we basically opened almost all of them at once as we were HOME team that night on both 3.5 and 4.0 They weren't really dead but about in that category but were still playable at the very least tho  Now we stack up on DunlopsI have used all sorts of tennis balls and think Dunlop Grand Prix are the best, however I have been using Wilson X-Duty (the cheap ones) for 20 years and have never, ever had a dead ball. Yeah, Dunlop (Grand Prix) is love or hate it seems. I also don't really like them until after they've been broken in after awhile of hitting.
Have you guys read this article??? (take deep breath and read on)

Unbelievable the author right? What a joke!! Dunlop balls are the number 1 selling ball in the world. With that there is good reason.

I agree with iro-ed. It doesn’t matter that they are the #1 selling ball I just like the way they play for me… deferent strokes for deferent folks…
Theres a reason why dunlop sells as much as they do.

I'm going to assume that the reason why you're hating on Dunlops is because they're just way too bouncy and you can't get a good consistent rally out of them. It's like that when you open a new can of Dunlops. It was like that for me when I first opened a new can of Dunlops. I kept on hitting out shots, balls flying everywhere, and I wasn't able to keep a consistent rally with my friend. But once you wear them down a bit, they're very great balls to play/rally with.
BOUNCY???? AAAAAAAHHHHHAAAA dont make me laugh!!!, they are dead out of the CAN!
Infact I have strategically used them when I wanted to slow a game down!
She has really nice Dunlop's!!!! (avatar)
Yes, everyone knows Dunlop balls are not even round, being more of an egg shape.

Dunlop balls are Heavy. so if you don't hit the ball big, then your shots will lose pace.
I actually agree w/ this statement.
They aren't lively at all (Championship)
These suck : http://www.valleysg.com/images/P/175205.jpg
These are good: http://www.doittennis.com/images/lg/dunlop-grand-prix-hard-court-individual-cans.jpg
I use these and they feel great if you have a topspin forehand that can create a decent topspin.

Most of the TT polls I've seen reveal Dunlops to be the preferred ball on the forum.
