Interesting. In the process of chasing that SOG which he likely will not win, he is going to absolutely detroy the slam record and take it to another level. Another three years means he'll have plenty of shots at increasing that slam lead.

Yep, seems that Tokio Olympic failure was really blessing in disguise, something similar to the Wawrinka 2015 RG final defeat. ;)

How do we know that he isn't vaccinated already?
Because of his statements.
"Personally I am opposed to vaccination and I wouldn’t want to be forced by someone to take a vaccine in order to be able to travel,” he said. “But if it becomes compulsory, what will happen? I will have to make a decision.”

I completely understand that Djokovic values the SOG medal, and it is considered a big title, he doesn't have it, and likely will never have it. But if the side effect of him chasing it means he destroys the slam record and puts Fedal far in his rear view mirror in that slam race, hey, it's not so bad is it? ;)

What's the SOG medal?

This guy, Srjdan? No, I don't know him. Is he important in tennis? What did he win?

Oh man I bet someone would like that WTF title, shame it didn't work out.

Sorry, it is just an exhibition I forgot.
On the contrary, Rafa doesn't care about racking up titles he is not that bothered about the YE Exho. Half the time he's missed it because of injury.

Djokovic will go on searching for that elusive Olympic Gold Medal that his fans try to write off as irrelevant.
I think that Olympic Gold is not irrelevant.

What do you think about the YEC and the #1 stats? Don't they objectively make Nadal the 3rd greatest?

He indicated as much himself after the US Open final, but plans can change. If his game falls apart between now and then is he going to carry on just to play at the Olympics?

GOAT is a not an official title in professional tennis. Real recognition counts. When anyone else has a statue in their honour in a foreign country, call me.

What really hurts Nadal, is that he is not in the conversation of even being top 3 on two out of three playing surfaces. Nadal is not in the top 3 on grass or hard, or even has an argument for it.

Grass - The debate is between Federer, Sampras, Djokovic and Borg really.
Hard - The debate is between Federer, Djokovic, Sampras - This one is more or less locked in.

Lmao. You call Djokovic fans out and then completely ignore the YEC and the weeks at #1. (One of the most important metrics in tennis)

Never change, VB. Anyway, Nadal deserved that statue as the King of Roland Garros.

How did you work that out? Rafa has more USO titles than Borg and Djokovic. It's no use making up criteria to suit yourself.

Nadal is probably the weakest GOAT candidate. His claim is just weak and full of gaping holes.

Gold Medals, H2Hs and statues cannot change that.

Give me the link to where the official GOAT credentials is listed. Every one is just making up their own list. Opinion is not fact.

Are you having trouble understanding what I said my Queen? 8-B

I never mentioned who is more accomplished at USO, I am talking about an entire surface here....and unfortunately for you, there is more than USO on hard court. What is all this nonsense about making up criteria myself? Haven't we been looking at who is the more accomplished on the SURFACE to decide who are the GOAT contenders on that surface?

You know full well, that Nadal is NOT in the top 3 or even in discussion for the top 3 on both Grass and Hard courts. It is what it is and saying he won 4 USO doesn't change that, it is about who won the most on a specific surface, and Djokovic, Federer, Sampras and even Agassi have more HC slams than Nadal period.

Top 3 on Hard or Grass doesn't have Nadal in them, and really you cannot be the GOAT if you aren't even top 3 on two of the three main playing surfaces.;)

The H2H is not is his favor against Djokovic though.

Of course Nadal has a great claim, but it is behind the other two, the weeks at number one is a massive thing.

Until someone can show me where it is official stated what constitutes the GOAT, I'm not interested in the subjective opinions various people have.

Honestly 30-28 h2h is nothing to write home about. Nadal v Federer (24-16) is.

RG fans have been suffering since last 4 months now , can definately understand their frustration .

Imagine , if Rafa doesn't win any more slams then it means Djokovic made sure Federer remains ahead of Nadal in GOAT debate always, by beating Rafa at RG 21 .
A small gift to Fed for the 40-15 heartbreak !

Yet, you decided to reply to me. If you weren't interested, just let it be. ;)

Three main playing surfaces Hard, Clay, Grass

Nadal top on clay, not even in discussion on hard or grass....that is not subjective, that is objective. Anyways, you know I am messing with you. 8-B(y)

Says who?
Says who?

Did you ever watch Sampras in the 90s? If you did, you would know that the three things he said were part of being the GOAT were the slam record, year ending number ones and most weeks at number one. So if Pistol says it, who am I to go against it?

As a Djoko fan I agree with you,
But still Nadal has dominated on clay like no one else has ever dominated a surface. 13 FO titles, one of the few tennis records that will never be broken IMO plus 10+ titles at MC and Rome.
