As someone pointed out earlier, the HOF would not necessarily have the resources or experience for such an investigation. Many law firms would. According to the reports, Hewitt was (unanimously) suspended based on the findings in the report delivered by that attorney.

HOF means nothing to tennis.What really is meaningful is the bunch of doubles majors that qualify Bob Hewitt as one of the best ever doubles players.

As for moral purposes, I can agree with the decision.

i´m fairly certain that being inducted into the hall of fame means something
for those who are inducted.

i think it´s about time to talk about his game.

He is the guy I´d pick to pick doubles.if he was not available, then I´d head off for Frew Mc Millan.

Yes, but would you pick him to coach your kid ?

I was actually going to suggest you contact BTurner (but he beat me to the punch) and you two could go out for a beer and reminisce about Bob's career and lament the injustice of the forces that conspired to have Bob suspended from the HOF and, if you are lucky, you can receive BTs due process lecture. And well who knows how the night might go after that....

Me, I saw Hewitt as a young kid which was about as interesting as a young kid watching [fill in the blank for any doubles team not the Bryans]. And at the time he appeared creepy to my kid eyes and, frankly, so did his partner with the weird (to a kid) hat. As for now, apart from you and BT and maybe Bob though I suspect he's not all that interested in tennis at this point, who gives a rats *** about his playing days ?

I obviously have another opinion.Hewitt was a tennis player and should be enjuiced as such.

interestingly enough, Hewitt concentrates his defense on attacking one of the women, and not all the others. he is obviously picking who he thinks is the weakest link

You don't just get into the hall of fame for what you've achieved, you get in for what you brought to the sport. In spite of his greatness, Hewitt brought shame to the sport and should be removed.

he stated on more than one occassion how much he appreciated being a member. so i would assume his suspension would hurt him. not that he doesn´t have other problems right now
