These avatars are starting to be a problem. Most of the time I’ve stumbled upon a post written by someone with this avatar, I think to myself “Hmmm, this is actually pretty smart post. I wonder who wrote this. I wanna like this post. Wait a minute, this post seems familiar. And I can’t like this post.”

“Oh that’s cause it’s mine.”

We should be allowed to like our own posts.

Egotistical? Yes. Satisfying? Yes.

i am not too convinced many of my poasts have much merit though.

For a moment I thought Fed and Delpo triggered the "Fed policia" too hard with memes and was really gone.

Glad it's just you guys having a circus show instead. :p

I did trigger a fair few of them today. So defeatist and annoying. Yeah, they turned out to be right today, but there's no enjoyment in the match threads when that's all it is.

I'm convinced some people don't even enjoy the tennis.

Fed/Delpo lost today but I still enjoyed the excitement/nerves it brought.

Tennis is only good when Lord Fedr is winning and that pig Rafa is losing!

VAMOS!..umm I mean CHUM JETZE!

Sadly didn't see either match myself. That behavior being regular is even stranger to me as I hardly ever get nervous over a tennis match.

Should be fun remainder of the tournament anyway, so looking forward to that.

Avatar speaks volumes. :p

Thanks for showing up to rescue the thread though.

I feel bad for the genuinely nervous ones that go to those threads to share in their nerves. I think they feel like I'm memeing them too.

Not true. I'm only memeing the ones that scream "INJURED" if Fed isn't immediately out winning or that kinda stuff.

It's possible that he just played bad..or lost. It happens

I said he was injured as a joke but some people on the thread started asking “is he really injured?” then it catapulted from there.

I did something of minor significance. Yippee.

Nah not you some people really thought he was. And yeah, maybe he was tweaked. But he still blew it any way you slice it up. It was 2-0, he had MP, he had triple BP to get back on serve in the third, he had BP in the 5th. He blew it.

It’s funny that some Fed fans meme about Rafa and his fans always complaining about injuries when he loses but Fed fans do the same ****ing thing lmao.

Yeah. That injured stuff gets annoying; seriously. I don't mind people crying about his game being cr!p but every second post being about being hampered physically or something just kills the thread.

US Open series last year was a joke. Alright; he got injured in Montreal but every guy was crying about his back in New York. Personally, I think he was fine but didn't want to over exert and didn't have enough prep time.

This is a pretty good post regarding that injury issue though..
@Federer and Del Potro
Thanks friend.
I will say this one last time. It was pretty obvious after this point that nearly everything in his game had flipped on a dime at that point.

1. Footwork declined. How many shots Fred sprayed out because he didn't take those extra small steps we know he does to get in perfect position to hit the target. Lots of leaning and upright hitting.
2. Every low topspin backhand on run went into the net or shanked really bad. The ones he did get in, had nothing on them. Just barely a neutral rally ball. It's why he started hitting more and more and more slice backhands.
3. Hit 85%+ of forehands with the buggy lasso, even on neutral and offensive shots. Which is a pretty big indication that his mechanics below the torso were affected enough he had to use more arm and shoulder.
4. The profuse grunting on first serves. He rarely ever does this. The only time he's done it is when he's extremely gassed or if he's hurt and needs to summon extra exertion by using more arm and shoulder to serve. He had to go even bigger on some second serves just to continue holding. He was grunting on first serves from the fall onward for most of the rest of the match.
5. He pretty much would not chase anything to his left that was more than a few steps down and would just keep watching it go by. Anderson eventually figured this out and kept exploiti by it.
6. He wasnt even lunging wide to attempt to return serves hit wide to either side. Anderson racked up way more aces and this is because of it.
7. He started forcing tactics. We know when Rog is playing free he starts going for weird stuff. But on a day like this when he's physically hindered, he's really trying to end points quickly. He's going for winners from positions he almost never tries for. It's one thing to do it when you're up in the score and relaxed like he did in the first set. It's another when you're doing it down and behind. After the slip, point construction was almost a nonexistent thing for him. It was servebot, or get into rallies and Anderson would either bully him because Fed had little offense or Anderson would gift him.

If you watched this match and didnt notice Fed was physically off you dont know what you're talking about. He said he was fine during those horrendously bad Tiafoe and Youzhny matches at the USO. He said he was fine after the Montreal final. But each of those times there was definitely something wrong with him and discomfort. In 2013 he even told Rafa at the net twice when he lost at Indian Wells and Rome that there was nothing wrong and that's during the back injury that plagued him all year.

On the other hand, some other player's injury issues are considered fake all the time. Trust dear old TTW, that player is always fully fit on the court.

As Novak said earlier today, double standards.

Still should have won today even if he was tweaked. Just like he won those USO matches.

Maybe for the best he lost today, easier to stomach than a loss in the final (don't think Isner could have beaten him even if he was part gimpy).
Yeah Nadal is on a tear right now. Think he’s gonna win Wimbledon regardless of who’s in the final.

I hope Novak wins but Novak keeps disappointing when we think he’s finally back. Hope I’m wrong.

Objectively great matches both, despite my disappointment
