Once Rome crowns a champion, Nadal will hold no clay court titles

By the time the weekend is over, Rafael Nadal will not be the reigning champion at any clay court event. Alcaraz has Madrid, Tsitsipas has Monte Carlo, Djokovic has Roland Garros, etc.

He entered the year as the champion at Barcelona and Rome but those events will have new winners this clay-court season.

I believe this is will be the first time since he won his very 1st clay court tournament in 2004 that Nadal won't have a clay title to his name. It's pretty crazy to think that the run has gone on for that long. It's also crazy to realize that streak has been snapped.

He’s a HC specialist like Timmy now.

Well, he has 10 Rome titles, doubt that record is being touched for a very long time.

Rafa going to the Thiem route? Turning from KOC to KoHC?

2 clay seasons in a row where he looked terrible
Actually 4. 2019 was a horror start, then he improved somehow and salvaged it with a win over Timmy. 2020 was a weird year. While his final performance against Djokovic was vintage, the rest of the season was pretty subpar. And last year we all know what happened. So yeah, he’s not been having a great time on clay last few years even though he’s been winning the RG most of the times.

It would have been a repeat of Rome 2016. Well, Nadal was not good enough to get that far. Not comparable with Djoker's situation this year.
Had 2017 RAFA made an appearance one year earlier then it would have been a wrap. And Joker only has himself to blame for missing the AO. Everyone else did their homework.

Because Joker avoided him 2017-mid 2018. Crapdal showed up to meet Peakovic over and over and over again in 2015-2016. They’ve only played on HC 2x since 2016 and the only one that mattered was the 2019 AO F :censored:
Have you noticed in the thread I made about Nadal should retire the most angry are Djokovic fans? There is a common theme here. It seems they want to take Nadal on when he is injured or woefully out of form but less keen when Nadal is playing well. For instance anything before 2011, when Nadal was at his peak(as was Federer) , is said to not be as relevant!.

Did Nadal show up at RG 16? no he did he usual.

Lol “Lew’s” YouTube channel  Whoever that guy is, he’s the most biased moron I’ve come across on the internet. And he contradicts himself in his own videos 8-B

The fact of the matter is Fedal showed up to take their beatings like men when they were in crap form. Joker went full on Avoidovic mode.

What you write, however, is still related to tennis. On the other hand, Djokovic's expulsion from AO 2022 was a political intervention.
He was the only guy who showed up unvaccinated when you needed to vaccinated to enter Australia. That was on him.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Djokovic has 370+ weeks as number one and Nadal has 210 weeks as number one .

The most consistent Player day in day out avoids inconsistent Nadal ( only 2010) weeks ?? Hahahahah :-D :-D :-D

Djokovic has been so consistent every year starting from 2011 to 2021 , and only one bad year he had ( 2017 ) and these fans of Nadal are throwing dirt on most consistent Player :-D
Totally illogical .

Djokovic was taking beatings like a Man from Nadal when he was injury prone and bad form during 2006-2010 .

Novak and Fed ( 310 weeks ) are most consistent players day in day out . And can never be judged as avoiding certain player lol

Rafa's fans in Rome seem to agree with you.

For those who do not recognise the person on the t-shirts - they are thanking the Australian Minster for Immigration for the AO2022 title.

Not real fans, I say.

Well last 2 years winner of Rg didn't win any masters 1000 before in that season so maybe it's the trend and If Rafa is fit then Rg he can reclaim I am confident.

He's not quite at 370 weeks yet, but hopefully makes it there. A win in Rome will more than likely have that set for him.

Nadal is at 209 weeks.

That’s on him. Everyone else did their homework, and Joker ended wearing the dunce cap.

You’re making this debate about something else. Yes, of course that’s on him but the level of tennis was what was being discussed. In that regard, Nadal benefited from Djokovic’s absence whereas Djokovic at RG 2016 simply did better than Nadal and was better than him at the time.

This whole back and forth with Joker fans started after I made a joke about RAFA being a HC specialist.

They started crying about what happened back in January.
