Alexander Zverev path to the final.

R16 Dimitrov
QF Nishioka Etcheverry
SF Rune Cerundolo Ruud or Jarry
F Djokovic Alcaraz Tsitsipas

Vs Dimitrov 3-1 Last loss in 2014 when Zverev was just 17. Overwhelming favorite. I think QF is guarnateed.
Do you think Zverev can finally win the big one?

Ball is heavy which doesn't bother Zverev much due to his strength and height.

Wind is heavy which is huge disadvantage for Zverev's serve.

He has classy good looks but he won't win unfortunately, his best chance was USO 2020 which he blew away, this slam he will have to count on Novak/Alcaraz both losing before the final which is almost impossible.

Zverev will be slight favourite only if it a night match.

If his match against Dimitrov is scheduled during the day with so much wind around, it won't be easy.

Zverev's last two matches were scheduled for prime time night session at Philippe-Chatrier. Don't think, they'll give him a third consecutive night session even though this might be the best match of the day (Jarry v/s Ruud a close second)

Imagine what life can do
Last year Rafa at this point was on top of the world and Zverev on wheelchair. Cut to this year Rafa had to be under the knife on his birthday and Zverev finally having his real comeback. Life takes a full circle

He could get to the final but he chokes. He won’t win it.
Depends on who is on the other side of the net. After USO 2020, I'd fully expect him to choke multiple times in the final, but it could turn into a battle of chokers depending on whom he faces, in which case, he could win. Basically if he faces anybody other than Raz or Djoker, I'd say.

You have a point but the likelihood of neither Alcaraz or Djokovic reaching the final is pretty low.

His win over Dimi is not a lock. He was lucky Tiafoe didn't take him five, and he had a pretty good record with him. Dimi is playing a lot better than Tiafoe, he has been clinical in his first three matches.

Zverev obliterated Dimitrov. I am starting to believe.

IF he gets past Ruud, he will be only 3rd on clay in the open era to Nadal and Borg.

He will be officially top 3 on all 3 surfaces. No other player would be able to make that claim...again, IF he wins the final.
Alcaraz or rune can be that would be after over a decade. No other male tennis player has been so consistent.
